I have no idea how interesting a role-play this would be but the basic idea is that some alien dude planted saibamen in [insert area of the world here] and they've basically gone rogue and stirring up all sorts of trouble.
Seeing as these are all raditz level fighters (canonically anyway) and can self-destruct, shoot acid from their heads and various other lovely things this is clearly a Very Bad Thing.
Also, they're the setting, not the plot. I still have no idea where to put them but I think making them malicious, psychotic little imps that have killed everything in Town X and are slowly closing in on the survivors (who are probably somewhat far apart) would be pretty neat.
Baaaasically this is the DBZ version of zombies gunning for your flesh. Except they're little green alien plantlife that constantly giggle and aren't communicating any diseases, whatever! Point stands, I'm feeling like something out of a horror movie.
Anyone interested?

Definitely count me in. Maybe give a small bonus for each one defeated. Nothing big, just proportional to the person's PL, or a basic unit. Even then, it's not needed. It would be a way to meet other fighters and make friends.

True true. Either way, this seems like a good idea. Just need someone to play the Saibamen, and maybe another person or two.

Well the saibamen I'm envisioning are basically like really freaking powerful wolves or whatever. They're not particularly important as fighters, it's the <running your prey to the ground> dynamic that I want to role-play. And maybe playing with food part too.

Sounds good! Anyone have a particular preference for where this plot is taking place? Obviously it's going to be in Other Places but big/medium/small city? Other things to consider: NPC survivors, civilians, weapon caches, water and food, saibamen tactics, etc.
Personally I would prefer that our characters be in the city at the time of the initial attack and start at DAY 9 or something but if you guys want to ride it out from beginning to end that's cool too.

I think a nice medium city setting would be good. Not too big where you'd be spending an hour searching, but not small enough to travel from end to end in under 5 minutes.
What do you mean start out at day 9? If we're there for the initial attack, it would make sense to go from beginning to end. However, we could also make it where we just end up arriving at the same place at the same time, start off suspicious about each other until a lone Saibamen show up, and we know what we're dealing with.

Yeah, that might work. You can count me in, but, question? Me as Leo, or me as Chiaotzu? Since Saibamen are Raditz level in power, having a slightly stronger character, like Chiaotzu, might prove useful. He STILL wouldn't be able to just kill them all, he'd have a tough time, and it might give us the edge we need without ruining the interesting. But if you just want Leo, that's fine too. I'm good either way.

What I mean by starting it out at Day 9 is pretty much as follows:
Our intro posts mention whatever it was that we happened to be doing in the City when the Saibamen started attacking and then what we did until Day 9 to survive whether it be lying low or constantly being on the lam.
I'm actually going to interject a weird idea which is probably non-canonical but for the purposes of this role-play work pretty well: whenever it's night the Saibamen become extremely lethargic and a lot less dangerous and some even enter into a hibernation mode. Nonetheless there are still a LOT of them and they tend to explode at the least provocation when it's night time so engaging them in battle is still not a great idea but still a good thing to keep in mind.
Actually, that would be pretty awesome to role-play the first day - about to be overwhelmed and then watch the Saibamen simply... stop.
As for Chaiotzu or Khan - it's up to you! I would suggest Leonardo because he'd be closer in power to the rest but I'm sure you can keep it interesting with either character so it's your call. ^^

Well, I REALLY need to get some Zenni up for Chiaotzu, so I can start training with Tien and maybe coming up with new sig techs, so I'll use him. I'll make some limitations, like he's fighting a cold, so he's only at, like, half power, and can't use Super Human. That brings him down to more your level (roughly 5k PL), and would allow me to make things interesting for everyone.

Uh, I was hoping for a slightly slower paced, long post sort of role-play so I'm not sure how much zenni you'll be able to make. But feel free to use him! ^^;

Either way, whatever you guys decide I'm good to go with. Are we going to be making this a plot type of thing strictly, and thus be controlling the Saibamen in our own posts?

I'm having a wee bit of trouble figuring out how else you'd control them. Are you asking if you expect someone to act like a D&D Dungeon Master? To that question I would answer I'd rather not do it like that if at all possible. ^^;
Aka: they're controlled by the player.
