The Chozo that can be found on Earth are the 'hope' of the last generation of the dying species. Lets travel back for a moment. Countless eons ago, in a star system that has remained untouched by outsiders since the collapse of the Chozoid Empire, lived the Chozo. At that time, the Chozo were a proud warrior race, yet geniuses with technology. Over the course of several hundred years, they conquered over 10% of their galaxy. However, as their technological prowess improved, their Longevity increased dramatically. Their growing old age began to reek havoc with their ability to reproduce.

And so, they began to retract back into their own system. The technological advancements of their race had reached their peak, and so they decided to completely forgo the trappings of their advancements and return to the days before they took to war, keeping only a few of their medical and agricultural technologies. They returned to their ancestral arts of unique living statuary crafting and other spiritual pursuits, though they had settled on a separate planet from their first home.

Before they left their technology, they performed one last great act; they added a mind lock on the genetic level that would cause any Chozo great pain if they chose to consciously bring pain or suffering to any other being. With that defense against bringing harm to others for any reason other than survival, they left their first home for a new start.

Away from the trappings of technology, the Chozo were left to freely devote time to crafting their beloved statues, or develop their psyonic abilities. They even gained the power to divine the future, though their visions were often vague. One day, more than one-hundred fifty Earth years ago, the Chozo were granted a vision: a great shadow covered the universe and obscured their vision, blocking their sight. And just as they thought all was lost, a single light, faint, but present nonetheless, blinked into existance. Then another, and another. Before long it looked almost like the night sky. The Light spread across the scene becoming any number of warriors bathed in the light. Some human, others not. But what surprised them the most was the shape of Chozo within the light. Not the Chozo who were reaching the end of their times, but a new kind of Chozo. Young, strong, hopeful.

The Chozo elders gathered together and began to discuss the meaning of those visions and what they would do about it. After much deliberation, they decided to, with the help of a being they had met in their telepathic journeys through time and space, create a new generation of Chozo, to carry on their 'Hope' and their 'Potential'. A single clutch of Chozo eggs were made and shortly thereafter sent down to Earth. The Eggs were scattered across the planet, waiting to be found by someone who could properly raise the young child within.

The Chozo themselves are an avian race, who once had grown exoskeletons. The only remnants of the Exoskeleton, however, is left on their artwork and their forearms and shins. Both the Forearms and shins have a strong exoskeleton, and the forearms also feature three small, backwards facing 'teeth'. Their heads are bird-like in shape, and each of their feet and hands have a total of four digits. The hands each have three finger-like talons, and one opposible, thumb-like digit. The feet have three digits that point forward and one in back. The rest of their body is covered in feathers, often colors such as browns, golds, silvers, and whites. The Chozo's naming scheme is essentially (Color) (Noun).

Chozo can grow to sizes between 6-7 feet for females, 6.5-7.9 feet for males. They also have small, vestigial wings on their back, a relic of the bygone days when they were able to fly in the skies.

Techniques

Healing: Some Chozo have developed the ability to heal others by using their Ki in combination with their Psyonic abilities to stimulate rapid cell mitosis, allowing for the high-speed healing of even grievous wounds. However, if can't be used on the user without supplementary training and will slightly reduce the lifespan and accelerate the aging of the subject due to the increased rate of cell mitosis as layed out in the Hayflick Limit
Flight: The ability to fly with the use of Ki.
Ki Blast(small): a basic energy attack. It launches a small ball of Ki. Doesn't do much damage, but it can prove an effective distraction. Can also be effective in large numbers.
Ki Blast(large): The most basic form of energy wave. It is similar to Kamehameha but lacks the raw power of a signature blast.
Telekinesis: The ability to move objects with ones mind. This does not work on people who can manipulate ki.
Telepathy: This is the ability to channel one's thoughts to another being. Only works one way unless the subject is willing.
Technological Prowess: Chozo are one of the most technologically adept races known. Particularly given their former fighting prowess.

Transformations



Sealed:The 'Natural' state for a Chozo. They retain the Mind Lock that prevents them from bringing harm to others. Thus, they are unable to bring harm to others or create anything with that purpose.

Power Increase: 0.1x-1x

Released:The Mind Lock on this new generation of Chozo is not the same as those who came before. Under dire circumstances, under great duress, a Chozo can release the Mind Lock, and be able to fight at full force without facing crippling pain.

Power Increase: 1x-1.1x

Released(True): Fundamentally the same as the first released form. Except it can be maintained indeterminately.

Power Increase: 1x-1.5x

Restored:As known now, currently the penultimate form of the Chozo, and like the previous stage, is permanent. Though there has thus far been no major change, entering into this state causes the user to grow a pair of wings from their back. This transformation is the act of returning the body to the times when the Chozo were a warrior race. Though able to fly through the manipulation of Ki; with wings, the user is able to fly without using Ki, and is much more maneuverable with Ki. However, this restoration of the race's original abilities is extremely difficult, and requires extreme need.

Power Increase: 2.0x

Hidden Power Released:One step beyond their fully restored form, this state requires a great need and supposedly years of battle experience to access, this state causes the Chozo's Ki to blend with their Psionic abilities to increase their powerlevel several fold for a short period of time. Cannot be maintained for more than fairly brief periods.

Power Increase: 50X(over Restored)

Final: The Chozo's final form is literal suicide to use. In this state, the user taps into the galaxy's ley lines to access all available power they can. The sheer force turns their feathers white. However, at the end of the second turn of actual use of this form, the user dies. Once activated, this form cannot be reverted from.
