Other World Plot: Demon on the Rise

[Piccolo]

Piccolo sat meditating on the findings of this demon. It was truly a strong opponent. If it defeated Goku, then there was no telling who could beat it. Though, Piccolo's own fighting skill had been kept up from keeping everyone in Hell in place. He had became the main Guardian over the time and no one had been able to oppose him.

Yet this demon. It could absorb others and use their powers. It grew with everyone that it absorbed. Then it thought of the people that would come into the check in station. Would the demon be waiting there for them? Would it know too? He wondered if this demon was cunning or just pure strength and evil. They had to do something either way, to bring everyone back and set things right in Other World.

[Goku]

What a mess. As he flew casually through the air in search of his green "friend," Goku had trouble understanding how things managed to get so bad. Earth, and much of the galaxy along with it, had turned into a big mess ever since Dr. Hypnos had appeared, and as if it wasn't bad enough that the mortal plane was afflicted with such a horrible tyrant, a mindless monster was now plaguing even the people of the afterlife. As always, he was excited to have a new, powerful opponent to keep testing himself against. He just wished that so many people didn't have to get caught in the crossfire every time, especially if his failure meant the end of any lives.

Once he'd spotted Piccolo, Goku sped up. Since his usual method of charging in head first having failed, it was certainly time for them to come up with some sort of plan. "Piccolo," he called, forcing a smile onto his face as he touched down. Even though they probably both knew why he was there, he opted not to address the topic right away; one of them had to maintain team morale. "How's it goin'?"

[Piccolo]

Piccolo held his eyes close, his sensing picking up Goku's powerlevel coming near him. Yet his guard was still up. He didn't know what this demon was actually capable of. Could it alter its form into someone you they have absorbed? Also managing to use their powerlevel as a front to mask its true powerlevel and keep up the disguise.

Sitting there cross legged and arms folded, he floated in there air. Hearing Goku's voice speak to him. Maybe this was the real one. Grand Kai did say the demon couldn't reach there yet. If it did, he was sure that he would most likely warn them. "Hello Goku. I'm good for now. Just preparing myself for the up and coming fight."

[Goku]

"Oh, right," replied Goku, as if the topic had not occurred to him. He ran his hand through his hair a few times as a pensive expression came to dominate his features. Though he put on a good act, there really wasn't much else to think about anymore, and he'd gone over the various possibilities that he and Piccolo might explore several times. Unfortunately, his best strategies always came about in the heat of the moment, so all he could think of to begin with was "run at the guy and hope his absorption doesn't kick in right away." Even he could see that that was a terrible plan.

"About that...Did you manage to come up with some sort of strategy or something?" He acknowledged Piccolo as the smarter warrior between the two of them. If anyone could think of a worthwhile plan of attack, it would be the Namekian, and Goku could only hope that his comrade at arms had come up with something good.

[Piccolo]

Piccolo uncrossed his leg and let them touch the ground. The gravity here was intense but he was use to it now. It having been so long since he was sent her after his death. Opening his eyes, he turned his attention to Goku as he began to try and read him. Since he fused with Kami, he began to tolerate the Saiyan more.

"Well, I think we should begin a search for others. We could use more people to confront this threat. He couldn't have absorbed everyone. Also, could check King Yenma's station to see if any more people have arrived. They will be needing guidance, but the demon might also be waiting for more people to absorb there also."

[Goku]

"Hmm. That's not a bad idea," said Goku, having failed to consider that people might still be dying and arriving at King Yemma's station with no one to guide them. Unfortunately, he didn't really consider himself fit to guide anyone who might be showing up, and Piccolo was certainly too threatening an individual as far as he was concerned. Perhaps the Grand Kai would take up the task for a time?

"Do you really think anyone else survived, though? I mean, Grand Kai would know about them, wouldn't he?" He put his hand to his chin as if he was thinking very hard despite there being very little to consider at this point. If Piccolo really thought the Grand Kai might have missed someone, or if there was a chance anyone was wandering about King Yemma's station, he was going to go searching. Aside from training, he didn't have much better to do at this point.

[Piccolo]

Piccolo may not of known much of what was going on with this demon but he knew somethings about the Kais powers from his time in Hell. It seemed that King Kai didn't tell Goku how the Kais had to sit most things out and could only help guide people mostly. He let out a sigh at Goku's lack of knowledge still.

"Well, you know the Kais can't really help to much in critical situations. They can only help guide for the most part. Why do you think it is that they aren't the ones out their trying to face the demon themselves. Regardless, if he did or did not miss them, we have to help with this somehow. I'm not just going to sit around and wait for the demon to come here."

[Goku]

"Now there's something we can agree on," said Goku with a smirk, and he slammed his fist into his palm to emphasize his point. He knew that Piccolo didn't mean they should go out and hunt the demon down right now, but honestly, he was itching to do exactly that. Granted, he'd had a pretty bad experience with rushing to fight foes he didn't know how to defeat, but what else could they really do? He couldn't imagine them finding some item or training method that would improve their chances before their enemy would find them.

If Piccolo thought some new people might show up, though, Goku was all for finding them; the more people they had on their side, the better. Of course, there was also the possibility that they'd find utterly useless people, but better to find them and hide them than let them fall prey to the demon. "Where do you think we should start?" King Yemma's check-in station was the obvious answer, but certainly not the most convenient.

[Piccolo]

Piccolo looked across the planet of the Grand Kai. He didn't know where they were in the Other World. They were just transported their instantaneously. He figured that their best bet would be to just start flying and see where they end up at. Piccolo could careless about the others but he had to defeat the monster before it got to strong for even him to handle.

"Let's just start flying. I don't know how far we are from anything on this planet. My sense of direction is thrown all off. I can't even sense the Grand Kai himself anymore." Looking over his shoulder at the Grand Kai's home. Piccolo and Goku were the only ones on his planet at the moment.

[Goku]

"All right," said Goku, nodding enthusiastically. If he was being honest, he'd admit that that plan was rather disappointing. After all, he'd been flying around when he met Piccolo, so if all they were going to do is fly some more, it really wasn't that special. He didn't complain, though, appreciating that the plan was at least simple enough for him to follow and better than the alternative.

Without another word, he took to the skies, flying at a brisk, yet casual pace that would allow him and his associate to get a good look at anything and everything that might be around them. If there were any stray souls to be found, then they would be sure to discover them before that monster had a chance to come by and take them in. Goku wasn't going to allow yet another mad tyrant to take him down

[Piccolo]

Piccolo could only grin at Goku's enthusiasm as he took the skies. His rival in every form never stop amazing him. His outlook was always positive in every situation. Now all they had to do was just save the Other World. Though, they couldn't save Earth, maybe this could of been some sort of redemption.

Charging up his Ki, he too took to the skies in pursuit of Goku. They had to find this creature fast before it could get any stronger. Now, where would they possibly find it after they checked the check-in station. That is a decision for after they make it back down to snakeway.
