The teen spiked his ki, a raging aura forming around his body. A soft yet sharp exhale left his mouth, his eyes slowly closing. The opal-colored ki radiated off his body, generating upwards gusts that would make his hair stand completely on end. Dirt, dust and debris was being thrown everywhere, the sound of several pebbles smacking against the surrounding trees echoing through the clearing. The nearby wild-life scurried away, squirrels and chipmunks nearly being lifted off of the ground as the gale strengthened, now whipping around through the area. The bandages around Vanto's hand were practically destroyed from the time he spend practicing his newest attack, and the sad thing was, he wasn't really getting anywhere with it. "Keh!" was the sound the boy made, grunting as he focused his ki. Vanto's aura faded, the veins on his left hand now bulging against the skin, almost unable to handle the huge amount of ki that coursing through him. In an unexpected burst, blue energy exploded off his hand. That energy then began to bounce off in small streaks, crackling and popping like electricity. Spreading his legs apart, the teen hunched forward slight, his right hand now grasping his left wrist in order to support it. His aura once again raged around him, albiet a bit smaller and he charged forward. His feet beating against the ground like a drum, a cloud of dust forming behind him. He closed his right eye, his left eye opened wider to compensate. He knew his target. That unfortunate tree in front of him. Vanto pretended (and wished) that that piece of nature was the tyrant himself. If it were that easy, he would've done it. But it was completely obvious that Frieza was a terribly different level compared to the boy. Even when Vanto watched the tyrant on television, who acted so elegantly sadistic, could see the evil in those blood-red orbs. The murderous intent was almost detectable through the television screen: something that made Vanto feel uncomfortable. Uncomfortable at the fact that he was so useless, unable to do anything to help better the world. It made him angry. He decided to channel his anger into his attack, the electric-like blue energy intensifying, ripping at the remains of the bandages. Letting out a loud battle cry, Vanto ran full-force toward the tree before taking flight, rocketing forward and thrusting his arm out. His left hand in the karate chop position, the electric, dense attack drilled into the tree like a knife through butter. Vanto's arm went through the tree, coming out the other side, the electric energy fading as a bloodied, splinted-ridden hand hung limply. The teen panted, his pulse racing as his ki faded. Vanto dropped his head, coughing for spitting up onto the barren ground, the transparent pool of bodily fluid dropping onto a misplaced patch of grass. What was going wrong? The teen had calculated everything. The exerted amount ki should have severed the tree, his arm shouldn't have got stuck again. Raising his head, Vanto scanned the area around him. Amongst the trees in the area, the foremost ones were all blemished in one way or another. Some had dents or mini-craters in the wood, while others had full-blown holes in them, all created by Vanto's newest technique, which currently had no name. Still, that wasn't supposed to happen. This attack was supposed to work like that technique Son Goku used during the Tenkaichi Budokai. The energy beam pounded into its target, rather than overpowering and going through. By it completely slamming into its opponent, it was capable to causing some detrimental damage, decimating the opponent and pushing them back until the attack was either called off or the all the projected ki was used. Then, the attack would faded away. This technique would act as a large, butcher knife , the steel blade electrified. If one were to stab a carrot with immense force, the force from the stab would make severe the carrot into two halves. That's what Vanto was going for. The attack would pierce the tree, the amount of ki would cause the tree to implode around the point of impact, severing it and sending pieces of wood everywhere. It would also ignite the tree, due to the current bio - electrical properties of his ki, but it wasn't doing that either. Vanto was apparently doing something wrong. Pulsing his ki outward from his arm, the splinters were forced loose from his palm as Vanto put his right hand on tree trunk. He pushed against the tree and violently yanked his arm out, almost stumbling back. His arm was now bleeding, but he shrugged it off. "One more time." he muttered. Vanto bent backwards, landing in the bridge position before backflipping back over to his initial spot. Maybe he was unmotivated? Why did he want to create this technique so bad? Because he had people to protect. His mother, one of the most caring women in the world. Someone who has managed to put with his hard ass of a father. His father was important him. Despite the fact he was so hard on Vanto when it came to everything, but deep dow, there was mutual love between the two. Not only those people, but the entire West City. The entire world, even. A giant burden for one thirteen year old to carry, but it felt necessary. Vanto couldn't do this alone, however. He needed to find some comrade in arms. Vanto figured he already had some: Frosvite and Bulla. Frosvite proved to be nice guy and could even prove to be a wonderful ally. His whole cowardice would need a lot of work, but besides that, they would make a wonderful team. And Bulla... And Bulla. Heat flooded his cheeks, his face now a bright scarlet. He has only met her once. No, he's met her a couple of times, but those were when they were young. It was amazing how Bulla didn't captivate him sooner than she did a week ago. Was it fate that the two happened to meet at Mt. Paozu? He felt the sudden urge to protect her back there. What if Frosvite was a stronger opponent? Or worst, Frieza himself had appeared. His dark orbs went into hiding under his eyelids once more as Vanto took the position. Legs spread, his body hunched forward slight, the teen held both arms downward, his right hand grasping his left wrist for support. His energy began to pour out of his body in waves, the ki-generated wind picking back up again. The remains of the bandages around his arm began to unwind, flowing freely in the air as the wavy flow of ki concentrated into a more-tamed aura. So much was radiating off the boy, it began to heat up the area and atmosphere around. Vanto broke into a cold sweat, bio-electric energy now merging with his aura. Unexpected clouds began to form overhead rather quickly, thunder booming as the ground began to shake. Vanto seemed to feel good about this try, feeling that everything will go as planned. "HAA!" He shouted, and that moment, a bolt of lightning rained down from the heavens. Opposed to causing the damage, the lightning was absorbed into his aura and merged momentarily with his ki. Then, Vanto forcibly withdrew the aura began into his body, now bending his arms upward, his left hand open, fingers curled inward. Sparks ran up the entirety of the young fighter's arm and his hand began to glow. A thick coat of ki formed over his hand, the energy appearing jagged at the edge and crackling once more. Then, he ran forward. Vanto shot across the dirt, gravel and pebbles rising and surrounding him. His sight was on a different tree. His eyes were fierce. This had to work. The boy sprung forward, taking flight once more to close the distance between himself and the tree. Vanto extended his arm, his hand once again in the karate chop position. His hand pierced the dress and drove straight through it, the ki exploding outward. The tree was successfully severed in half. Wood chips exploded outward, a majority ablaze before hitting the ground, the flames diminishing. Vanto stood there leaned forward as the tree fell sideways, slamming against the previously struck tree and knocking it over. Both trees fell to the ground to the side of him, but the boy didn't even flinch. Vanto was too joyful at the moment. Standing up straight, he pulled his now scratched, bleeding arm to his side, looking down at his left hand. On his palm was a large bleeding gash, and Vanto decided that he would need to further bandaged his hand in order to use this attack further. The sudden property in change must've damaged his hand and that was something his body would have to adapt to over time. For now, he was good with using this new technique under certain conditions. A smile stretched across his face, but as it came, it quickly disappeared. A dizzy spell came over the boy as his vision began to swim in and out. He was tired from the constant training and had used up too much ki. Vanto stumbled back, nearly falling over with each step and pressing his back against a tree. His eyes now closing, he thought a rest was appropriate now. After all, he had finally figured out how to successfully pull off the technique he was working on. Now he wasn't as useless as before. Letting the tiredness overwhelm him, the boy slid sideways off the tree and slammed against the dirt. A large smile appeared on his face as he drifted off. He did it: he had succesfully created the Fulmen Surge. [/style] |
