His eyes rolled skyward, Vanto decided that this was a total waste of breath on his part. The guy had better things to do, like train and get ready for the tournament. Since his back was turned to Hiro, the teen couldn't see anything the kid was doing. Not like he cared anyway. If Vanto really thought about it, the kid was right. How come Son Goku didn't have any movies? After all, he was one of the youngest champions ever so that should've earned some movie roles? At least, that was expected.
"Well, you know what...?" Vanto retorted, exhaling sharply as he attempted to move his other leg now. Forget two laps around this damn, one lap was good enough. The teen came to a halt, slowly turning to Hiro and at the same time, grasping the bottom of his shirt. The black haired boy needed to shed some weight or else this was going to be harder than it had to be. As it weighted a hundred pounds, Vanto slowly dragged off his shirt and dropped in onto the ground, a large thud echoing through the room in response.
Maybe Son Goku wasn't as popular as he thought. Then why did his father have the recordings of that Tenakichi Budokai then? Especially when the man dislike martial arts and anything involved with it. Vanto shot Hiro a glare while flexing his own muscles and beginning his trek around the gravity room. He had a feeling that Hiro wouldn't be catching up to him anytime soon. "...Hercule sucks regardless."

"Jerk..." Hiro muttered. He continued to 'chase' after Vanto slower than the running speed of a turtle under normal conditions. What the heck was this ridiculous room doing to him? There was no way this could be normal... not at all. The boy was completely baffled.
But more than anything, he wanted to get back at the teenager! He wanted that even more than he wanted to learn what this room was, definitely. "Hercule is the best. You'll see. You'll see when he saves the world from Frieza and that other guy you talked about doesn't do squat!"
"Hmph," Hiro grunted, he was slowly beginning to walk faster. Not much faster, yet at least now he was managing to lift his feet an inch above the floor with each step. Although this walking chase would seem so obviously futile to any onlooker, Hiro was so darn determined that he refused to see it.

Progress was being made, that much was evident. Vanto was lifting his foot higher and higher with each step and although the gravity was still a pain, it wasn't as much of a pain. The air seemed to be getting lighter, a tell-tale sign that Vanto's body was adapting to the harsh conditions that chamber submitted. "Easy..lemon..peezy..!" he said, the statement started out a strained whisper and evolved into a powerful scream, the teen letting out a breath and hunching over, placing his hands on his knees for support.
His eyes moved to the kid, who seemed to be coming after him. A smirk stretched across the face: Vanto wasn't a bully but this kid was so brattish, it made it fun to toy with him. Also, the teen wanted to show him that Hercule was no way near Son Goku in terms of power and awesomeness. Maybe his inner fanboy was raging but so what? Turning to face the teen, Vanto smirked. "So...could Hercule do that..with ki?" he boated, pointing to the nearest wall.
There was the dent he made earlier, various loose wires and debris sticking out. Vanto was going to enlighten this kid. Forcing his body up straight and his hands in front of his chest, ki energy began to pour from his palms and form a transparent blue fire. "See, Hercule can't do this."

Hiro was putting one foot in front of the other, so slowly walking with all his might around the walls of the room. The force of gravity was still pushing him down, pressuring him to hunch over through each step. And the teenager was only moving faster and faster away from him, darn it!
Until the older male seemed to stop, turned around to face Hiro, and then pointed at some damaged spot on the wall. The boy slowly turned his head the few inches that he needed in order to get a look at the wall, gritting his teeth all the while. "He wouldn't need... ki... he's strong enough to do that without any help," his eyes once again turned to Vanto.
What was with this guy? Vanto was creating a blue aura in front of himself, it gave off a small blue light and drove the fire in Hiro further. Now he was going to show this teenager exactly what he could do! "Oh yeah?" the boy held his arms straight out in front of his body, beginning to charge a yellow sphere of ki in front of his hands. Videl had already taught him about the basic ki attack...

Vanto raised his eyebrows in surprise. This kid already knew how to use ki and apparently better than Vanto himself (at that age, of course. Although the teen wasn't the best at ki control, he wasn't the worst anymore.) His hands were at his sides once more and the teen shrugged. "Oh, so you already know about ki, huh?" he said, trying to play cool. So he could know about ki but not know about Son Goku or Jackie Chun? That's crazy! His eyes narrowing, he turned his back to the kid and continued his lap.
Even if he wasn't even half-way around the room yet, Vanto was all the more determined to do this. If he was unable to get his body used to these conditions, then how would get stronger? The young man aimed to get strong, just strong enough to kill Frieza and his boss, Dr. Hypnos: strong enough to free Earth. A fire igniting inside the young man's soul and with rekindled motivation, the black haired boy pushed himself harder, his steps and body movements more more exaggerated.
The ki receding into his body, the boy threw a powerful punch forward. The flying limb seemed to disregard the gravity entirely and when it fully extended, a powerful booming noise was made. As if that took a majority of his energy, Vanto began to sweat and pant before stepping forward, throwing much punches at the air.

The ki continued to build in front of Hiro's palms. It was a never ending struggle just to keep his arms outstretched and straight. But they were shaking too, twitching and dripping with sweat. The bully of a teenager seemed not to be very surprised to find out that Hiro could - moderately - use his ki.
The teenager's loss of interest would be his downfall! ...Or so that's what the young boy's mind would have him believe. Charging his ki, the sphere of yellow energy grew to a size larger than his head. It should have been pretty obvious what was to happen next, as Hiro stared at the back of Vanto's neck, with his mind hoping to catch the teenager off guard with an energy attack to his back.
Well... in his mind it worked successfully, he could see it playing out now. It would sure prove Vanto wrong! "Hah!" the boy released the blast of energy, his body tilting backward as if the act of shooting it resulted also in some sort of recoil for him. However, his happiness was short-lived, before the ki blast had even made it but a few inches away from Hiro's body, it backfired, exploding back in his face so to speak.
"Gah!...." so... here he was again... On the floor of the gravity chamber, this time on his back, and with his shirt singed from his failed attempt at a ki attack.

Each time his arm flew out, sweat would drop off his body, smacking against the ground with a loud splash. His hair was messy now, sticky and wet from sweat. Vanto's body glistening, the dim lights shining down him as he moved forward, throwing his body into a kick this time. Unfortunately, he only got his leg half way off the ground before it slammed back down, sending vibrations through his entire body. His muscles tensed up and the teen slumped onto the ground, panting. It was at this moment a soft explosion was heard from behind him, making him perk his head up and spin around.
The kid was on the ground, his face and shirt singed from whatever just happened (probably a failed ki blast?), steam billowing from him comically. A soft smile stretched across his face. This reminded Vanto of something he had done when he was just learning of ki: unable to form a moderately sized ki blast without blowing up in his face. Standing up and hurrying (as fast as he could in this gravity) over to the boy, Vanto knelt down next to the child. "Are you okay?"he asked, a look of mock concern on his face.
This kid couldn't have been hurt that bad. After all, the young man reminded Vanto of himself in a way. Placing a hand behind his head and scratching at his wet hair sheepishly, Vanto closed his eyes and smiled. "Oh yeah...what was your name again, kid?"

Head... spinning... The entire room... twirling around and around in circles. Why did every single one of Hiro's ki control attempts end up like this? It wasn't the enhanced gravity that had resulted in his failure, this very same thing happened every time he tried! Just once, just once it would have been nice for the dumb ki blast to fire properly according to the plan.
Instead, the boy was left on the floor to wonder once again why his attack had been a total failure. The frustration that this technique brought him was overwhelming! But... Videl had told him that it was among the first abilities that he had to learn to grasp, once a person learned ki control he could also learn other cool techniques... such as flying!
Hiro pressed his hand against his face, while struggling with his other hand to push himself up off the floor and to a sitting position. Oh, would you look at that, the teenager had noticed the small explosion that had been meant for him. "I think so..." it was mostly his pride that had been damaged here... mostly... his body did indeed ache and feel rather scorched now. "My name is Hiro. And you'd be smart to remember it!"

Standing up now and taking two steps away from Hiro, Vanto nodded. "Alright, Hiro. My name is Vanto, I suggest you remember that too." the teen responded before taking a deep breath. "Well, I'm gonna teach a little somethin' about ki, kid." Vanto said, his tone screaming condescending but it was apparent that the boy meant no harm. Only trying to get under the nine year old's skin. Taking a deep breath, Vanto tucked his arms against his side, bending them and forming a fist. His own energy began to spike, the blue fiery aura forming around the boy as he molded his energy.
"First off, you need to be able to push out enough ki to form an aura around your body. Do you know how to do that?" he asked, standing up straight as the bluish-white energy flickered. This kid was a lot younger than Vanto so the teen decided that he'd try to avoid "big words". It turned out that every time Vanto attempted to teach a kid about ki, they shrugged it off as fancy light shows or stupid magic tricks. Then again, they were only kids so that was to be expected.
Vanto extended his arm and was surprised at how easy he had managed to do it this time. Granted, it was still hard to do such a small task but it was a lot of easier than before. Opening his fist, a small light came to be: expanding and taking the shape of a circular shaped energy blast, no bigger than a tennis ball. "This is basic ki control, kid." he said while fluctuating his energy output, causing the energy sphere to continuously change size every second.

Vanto? ...Pfft, of course Hiro would not forget it. After all, it was such a silly name and how could he forget the name of the teenager who tried to say some no name was greater than Earth’s hero, Hercule? Lowering his hand, he pressed it on the floor beside him and placed his other hand on the floor at his other side. Getting back onto his feet after a fall had never proven to be as difficult as it was today...
The boy forced his body up and found himself successfully standing back on his own two feet. Good, he didn’t want Vanto thinking that he was weak. ”I already know about ki, you saw!” he spoke stubbornly and crossed his arms over his chest. What else could the teenager possibly teach him?
Gritting his teeth as he watched, Hiro watched as Vanto put on his little demonstration. He certainly was not impressed! But... ”No...” the boy grumbled, annoyed that at his level he was unable to tell the teenager ‘yes’ and throw it in his face! How are you supposed to push ki out around your whole body? That didn’t make sense... Hiro only knew how to form it in his hands, and just barely at that.

[OOC: Figured I could post again since I'm obviously behind you in posts in this thread, lol] "So..." the young boy was incredibly reluctant to ask. He could hit himself for being like this, for submitting so quickly. He was sure that Videl could answer all of his questions but... she wasn't here right now. And there had to be a reason why his attempts at creating a ki blast failed each and every time he tried it, it was becoming frustrating enough that he would ask for answers from some random person he had only just met. They always blew up in his face, so he had to be doing something wrong...
Hiro gulped... swallowing his pride, if only for a short moment. "So, how do you do what you just did? How can I charge ki around my entire body like that?" he curled his hands into fists rather enthusiastically as he spoke, holding them out at his sides.
Forgetting the heightened gravity for a short span of time, Hiro took a step forward in anticipation. Granted, a very heavy step that brought his foot back down to the floor very quickly and instantaneously reminded him of the differences between this room and the outside world. "I wanna know. Even though it's got nothin' to do with me blastin' you with a ki attack from my hand," how could it? Charging ki in your hands was different from charging it around your entire body, wasn't it?

Vanto smiled. This kid, so defiant...so cocky. Kind of reminded Vanto of himself. The smiling fading as the teen's face took on a look of concern, the raven-haired fighter brought his hand up to his chin and began to stroke it. "Well," said Vanto, his voice lowering as he trailed off. How did he do that? The teen actually never thought of how he did it: he just..did it. His aura flickering in and out, the teen trying to grasp the feelings he got when performed the ki-based move, all while going against the heavy gravity. "Alright, you just let it flow." he said, though it was plain he was unsure of his statement. His aura still blinking in and out, Vanto looked down Hiro.
"See, watch this." he said, holding his hand out, palm spread open as a ball of ki quickly materialized. "Alright, to make a ki blast, you charge ki through your hand, right? Through one point in your body." Vanto explained, the ki disappearing as the body dropped into a charging stance. "So..instead of focusing it through one point: just let it flow." the teen concluded, nodding to Hiro and himself for doing such a good job at explaining.
Stepping forward and inhaling, Vanto began to lift off the ground. Well, tried to. The gravity was pushing down hard and it was an effort just to get airborne. "Grrr..!" Vanto growled, beads of sweat running down his body. Once he was at least a foot off the ground, Vanto would move side to side, still fighting against the gravity. "If you don't know how to make an aura, I'm assuming you don't know how to fly."

Concern? That look in the teenager’s eyes, what for? Did he not know how to explain it? Because he sure as heck had made a show out of pointing out he could create an aura of ki around his body, skillfully accomplished, as opposed to Hiro’s futile attempts with ki from his hands.
The boy regarded his supposed teacher with an expression that made clear his skepticism on the topic. ‘Just let it flow’ didn’t exactly do it for him, the explanation was too vague, the act likely required something a bit more than merely letting the ki flow out. If that were the case, it would be easy, easier than focusing energy into his hand, which he already knew part way how to do.
Well uh... Hiro was at least going to try it, no use in just giving up now without having a go at it. So it was different from a ki blast, don’t focus it just to his hand, allow the ki to flow out around his entire body rather than only into his hand. It sounded more simple than it was. His eyes caught sight of Vanto performing the difficult task of flying under this intense gravity. ”No. My teacher can do that, but I can’t. Not yet anyway,” he fell into a stance that closely imitated the way that the teenager had looked earlier when he demonstrated ki charging. Hiro attempted it... but his speculation earlier had been correct, this wasn’t so easy… was his ki even flowing? It didn't feel like it...

The force was too much, the gravity pushing down so hard on the teen that it was near impossible to stay afloat. Crashing down into the titled floor, buckling down from the force and onto his knees (which were still bruised from a prior incident), Vanto lurched over, sweat drenching his form and his breath escaping his lungs in short gasps. This gravity training was really taken the toll on the thirteen year old's body and it only showed that the martial artists that this training session was no joke. At the moment, it was as clear as day that the teen was going to profit from this. After all, whatever didn't kill the poor human, sure as hell made him stronger. "Well, whoever your teacher is, is doing a bad job at teaching you ki control.
[/b]" Vanto sat up, crossing his legs over one another and arching his back, staring up at the ceiling and taking large breaths. The air was shrill and dry in the gravity chamber, practically stinging at the boy's lungs with each intake. His body welcomed the oxygen with open arms: better than nothing of course. Pushing his chest out in an attempt to refill his lungs quicker, his black orbs fell onto the boy slowly. " Well, who is your teacher anyway?" he asked, tilting his head in interest. This child had a teacher, albeit not a very good one, and Vanto didn't. Who could possibly train him? His eyes left Hiro and found their way to the ground. Maybe that Master Roshi guy who trained Son Goku? That guy was older than old, so there was little chance he was even alive. Probably just chillin' on some island in the middle of the ocean I bet..., Vanto thought, a small smile appearing on his handsome face, apparently satisfied with own little joke. His hand swiping across his face, removing his soaking wet headband from his forehead and dropping it onto the ground in one swift movement, Vanto leaned back, propping his arms down behind him for support. His legs uncurled and were not outstretched, the teen flicking his head to the side in an effort to remove a rouge hair from his sights. " Well, who's your teacher? Hercule?" he taunted. ”Heh,” Hiro lost focus, too busy snickering at Vanto’s inability to stay floating in the air. It didn’t matter that he could not get off the ground himself even if he tried it in normal gravity. The fact was that the teenager had fallen to his knees and was now gasping for breath, he sure was showing his weakness, that was something that the younger boy was trying to hide when it came to his own actions, yet he was clearly failing at the task.
”She’s busy with other things is all. Heroes always have tough jobs to do that take press...-ee-dense,” he let up on his futile attempts at concentrating his ki and watched Vanto sit down relaxed. Honestly, under normal circumstances the black-haired boy would already have found himself being tackled by the blue scarf-wearing boy for what he had said. A dumb insult targeted at Hiro’s teacher, well, that just got them nowhere now didn’t it? It wasn’t as if Vanto even knew her.
The boy crossed his arms. Something about the way the teenager had spoken Hercule’s name... made it sound like an insult. Vanto had given it a bad sound, as if the idea of having the master as your teacher was something to be ashamed about. Of course, Mr. Satan was too busy to be spending time training potential students anyway, showed how little Vanto knew. ”No. Videl Satan is my teacher. She learned from... Mercenary Tao, I think, so she knows lots.” Hiro stuck his tongue out at the bigger kid.
