The dark blanket that was night was being draped over West City, the sun having set almost an hour ago. Vanto and Bulla had just left Capsule Corporation, having finished their little "meeting" minutes before. It turned out, Bulla wanted to become a fighter. Not an extreme fighter like Vanto himself but at least strong enough for the girl to protect herself whenever he wasn't around. Those weren't her exact words but Vanto felt a bond developing between the two, their obvious feelings for each other drawing the two closer and closer. Now, after hearing about the recent opening of the Gravity Room (something Bulla's grandfather created) and the upcoming Budokai Tenkaichi, the pair had decided to get some training done. This training was meant to benefit the both of them but Vanto was the only contestant out of the two.
Coming to the large building, Vanto looked over it in awe. The Gravity Room was huge! If what he heard about it was true then the training done here should help me majorly. This could do wonders for both him and Bulla in terms of power, maybe raising both of theirs substantially. The teen scanned the building carefully before stepping forward, grasping the doorknob hesitantly. Vanto turned to Bulla one more time before looking back to the door and turning the knob, pushing the door open carefully. He could the gravitational force from outside the doorway and the boy simply smirked: imagine how it was in there?
Vanto stepped it and immediately the air was heavier. It was harder to breath, not too hard however but that was a sign of how different the conditions in there were from outside. The male took a deep breath with each step, struggling to raise each leg as he approached the other side of the room. It felt like he had ninety-pound weights attached to each foot! Once he reached a good enough distance away from the doorway and Bulla, Vanto turned to face the blue haired diva, raising his hands to the back of his head to adjust his headband. After ripping it off, he stuffed the blue cloth into his shorts pocket and smiled at Bulla. "Are you ready, beautiful?" he said, dropping his hands to his sides.
"Seeing as you're not a fighter and all, we'll go easy this time." Vanto said, raising his left arm and undoing the gauze. He would then bite down at the beginning of the white tape before proceeding to re-wrap his hand, this time tighter. After that, he began on the right arm. "And we can stop whenever you want."

" Bulla choked out harshly with a bitter laugh. This was a piece of cake to him? It was just another walk in the park in the life of Vanto Lux. That was such bullcrap. Shaking her head to the best of her ability, Bulla sniffled up her self pity and scoffed " .. if you want to defeat Frieza then the concept 'go easy' is never an option. You have to go hard.. or go home. You show no mercy to people you face because they are weaker or because you think the person is beautiful.. you just attack. And attack hard" The two of them had agreed to come here to train together, not for him to be a gentlemen about it. And she wasn't going to tell him to stop just because he slapped her around a little. Thanks to Yamcha, the teen knew that she could take a powerful hit. The fallen warrior might have been gone, but she was positive that Vanto was not stronger than her father. Yamcha wasn't the strongest one out there, but he was a Z fighter for a reason. Vanto was going to win the fight obviously, but not until she gave him a bit of surprises and diversions. But first? She had to get up. 'You can do this Bulla. It's not that hard'. Those words and the small nods of her head were the real encouragement she needed to ignore the gravity.. at least for right now. With small hesitations and a bit of self control, she was up on her feet and looking around the room slowly. The room was already going to be a nightmare for her, but it was going to be okay. She could do this. Even the small things like running her tongue along her bottom lip took all her will power and the little strength she had, but she was going to get through this and try her best to kick her hero's ass. Honestly, did the damsel-in-distress always has to be just that? The pretty little damsel? The vixen had already broke the rule of coming inside this sacred room.. maybe it was time to try and break a few more. " Don't take it easy on me, pretty boy because I want you to know that these clothes?" Pausing to point out her attire, she smirked and shook her head, her hair flipping behind her. " They are not just to keep you distracted, but also to.." She allowed her words to linger, as she took in a deep breath mentally. It was time to get herself together and just try her damn hardest. Within a few seconds, the afterimage of the girl was left standing in place, while the real image was now behind Vanto. The gravity was still a problem, but she was ignoring it.. and if her determination kept up her adrenaline than this wouldn't be so much a problem. But with the advantage of the increased gravity, she tried to use it to her advantage (duh) by allowing her increased weight to slam her left shoulder with the increased weight into his back to force his body forward. If she succeeded, she'll follow up with appearing in front of him then using all her strength to punch him in the gut to move his body once again back in place where it was before. " move faster. I need an advantage and speed is it.. so try and catch me, huh?" Starting to fly up in the air, she paused in mid flight towards the middle of the room then closed her eyes awaiting for retaliation. Adrenaline.. oh please allow her to get through this battle. Was she going to be sore in the morning? Indeed. [/ul]

Once Bulla repeated him, her tone made Vanto knit his eyebrows in slight frustration. Why was she such a bitch to him? Stroking his forehead with his index feat, which was a feat in itself due to the doubled gravity, his eyes narrowed as he looked at the object of his affection. Though her words were harsh, there was some truth in them. Going easy wasn't option against Frieza but Bulla wasn't Frieza. Why would he go all-out against someone he liked? The two did come her to train in order to get stronger and Vanto had feeling they both knew, if they both didn't try their hardest, nothing was going to come from this. This would've been wasted time. Also, from what she told him during their time at Capsule Corporation, her father, whoever he was, was a seasoned fighter who died in combat. Maybe some of those martial artist genes were present in Bulla? Much to his dismay, he would have to find out the hard way (for Bulla, anyway). It was obvious who was going to win this spar. Vanto was a lot stronger than the blue haired girl and she was well aware of that.
Standing there with the same irritated expression on his face, Vanto watched the girl finally stand up and assessing her surroundings. The black haired boy decided to do the same. Not really, he just didn't want to look at Bulla right now. In an attempt to adapt to the gravity, Vanto raised his arms several times before crossing them over his chest then behind his head, looking at Bulla out the corner of his eye. Part of him was regretting sneaking in here with her now, but another part was happy about having some alone time with her. Maybe some sparks with fly, you know, while they're beating the crap out of each other. "Alright Bulla." he said. "If that's how you want it." He arched an eyebrow once his would-be opponent took a sharp breath.
The image of Bulla he was looking at was distorted and her ki vanished, putting Vanto on high alert. He dropped his arms down his side and looked around. "Bull--" he cut himself off when the familiar ki signature appeared behind him and with the force of about nine thousand bulldozers, the blue girl rammed into him. The gravity didn't really help but it did at the same time: Vanto didn't go very far due to the heavy force but he knew that Bulla used the gravity to her advantage. "Ah!" he let out, stumbling forward. Then, something red appeared in front of him and immediately he knew that the next moments weren't going to be pleasurable. A knee slammed right into his gut, causing Vanto lurched over and slam his nose against Bulla's thigh.
Letting out a loud gasp as the wind was knocked from him and with blood now pouring from his nose, Vanto felt to his knees, one arm wrapped over his stomach while the other was used to prop himself upward. His eyes were wide because with all honestly, that wasn't expected in the least. This just meant Bulla was completely serious about training so the black haired teen had to be as well. "Huh, that hurt. " he said, standing up and wiping the blood from his nose. "Bet you can't do that again!
" he paused and smirked. He stood up straight, wiping the blood from nose onto his bandage, staring at Bulla mockingly. " After all, You're only a pretty face, all you're good for is shopping and bitchin.'" Vanto taunted, a different tone that he had used before. The "pretty boy" dropped into a stance, looking up at Bulla's floating figure before closing his eyes, awaiting her next attack. [/blockquote]

" Her grandmother could come up with better insults and she happen to be one of the dumbest blondes she had ever seen. " And what exactly are you good for? Getting people killed... be the hero that does more harm then good?" She wasn't sure of her next attack just yet, but insulting him to attack back could take up some time. " You're just a joke.. to me, your mom, and.." Bulla placed her index finger against her chin, then smirked nodding her at the dark haired teen " oh yeah.. of course your father. He's a real hard ass that doesn't like you very much does he?". She let out a short bitter chuckle then shrugged tilting her head a bit to the side. " I've seen his office.. he doesn't have pictures of you. Why is that?" Vanto and her father's relationship was a bit of mystery to her, but she knew his father was one of the more dedicated serious workers at Capsule Corp. Her mother spoke highly of him saying his only flaw was his non fun attitude. She was just guessing about the relationship between the two.. just trying to strike a nerve for him to attack her. " I guess he doesn't love you enough to show you around? He doesn't believe in you either? He thinks your a mistake?" Bulla sighed over dramatically and pouted " .. its really sad that he probably doesn't believe in you. I mean I would, but.. you can't even fight me". The gravity room was starting to get to her again since it seemed Vanto wasn't going to do anything to her. He was just standing there.. with his eyes closed like she wasn't a threat. It was annoying and frustrating to the extreme. " ..Fine.." She spoke softly then shrugged. If he wasn't going to do anything.. then he'll just be her own personal punching bag. " And since you won't fight me, I guess since you put your feelings first, when you see Frieza you'll just be frozen in fear.." Clenching her fists together powering up ki into them, she took no time charging at him. Her right fist moved forward to try and connect with his face, but paused a few inches before and her palm opened to unleash a ki blast instead. She tried to continue by following up with her left fist to connect under his chin. Her breath was getting heavier as her body still wasn't used to the gravity. She guessed her speed wasn't nearly as fast as she really thought it was nor would it actually provide the advantage she thought it would..[/ul]

Vanto arched his eyebrows at Bulla, noting her disgust. Why was she mad because he didn't want to hurt her. The blood trickled down from his nose over his mouth and onto his blue shirt but he disregarded his injury. Bulla's words hurt more anyway. His eyes opened, looking at Bulla as she spoke. Maybe she was taunting him but due to her constant bitching, he could never tell. The truth did seem to come out in the heat of battle so instead of saying anything, he dropped his stance and stood up straight, looking down at the ground. Getting people killed? She was right, which was sad. His first act of heroism was a complete failure, seeing as he only saved one out of three hundred slaves. Vanto couldn't go back to save them if he could, because they were all dead. The teen didn't even want to look at the blue haired beauty anymore, instead just stood there in complete silence.
Now he was a joke? These words were cutting deeper than any blade could. It was truly nice to know that the girl he had strong feelings for, the one he would protect without hesistation, thought of her "hero" as a comical act. That was disheartening to say the least. Bulla was invoking so much emotion from Vanto just through her words, the boy could feel himself tearing. All she said was true (except about his mother). His dad didn't like him much. Vanto's father would always yell at him when something went wrong or simply not talk to him unless he had to. Whenever Vanto visited him at the company, the boy was always shooed away and had to spend his time walking around the building before getting frustrated and going home. The raven haired male wasn't even allowed in his father's office so Van wouldn't even know there were pictures of him or not. Since his head was dropped, the blood began to pour onto the floor but due to the gravity, his head felt heavy and the blood was pouring down like a waterfall. Tears began to mix with the falling blood, forming a weird looking puddle of mixed liquid on the floor.
Bulla was going to get what she wanted. Vanto looked up as she came toward him, tears rolling down his cheek but an indifferent look on his face. It was like she was moving in slow motion due to the gravity so the teen had more time to react than he thought. Her first arm went toward his father and using all his strength, Vanto dropped under it. He would use one hand to block the incoming uppercut while charging ki into his other hand, sending a powerful fist strike at the girl's chest, designed to send her a moderate distance away, despite the gravity. "You know..."
Once Bulla was a good distance away, Vanto's aura would flare around him and he shot backwards like a rocket, leaving about thirteen feet between the two.
"I don't know if you were just taunting me or not.--"
He paused then held his arms down in front of him, his right arm crossed over his left, the ki infused hand. His right hand grasped his left wrist with a death grip.
"--nor do I care. You want me to fight you, I'll fight you, bitch. You know how to say the right things, huh?"
The sound of crackling and popping filed the gravity room, bio electricity taking it's place in Vanto's white aura. Ki began to pour of his hand, taking the form of an blue electric current, raging around his hand and lighting up the general vicinity. His hair began to flow upwards, the current only getting bigger as his energy spiked, the constant aura output blasting the headband off his forehead. "I'm coming at you full force, Bulla Briefs. Prepare yourself..." he said in a low voice, releasing the grip on his left hand and bringing it up, outstretched to the side. Floating off the ground slightly, he then flew forward, a white energy streak forming behind him,
"BECAUSE I'M NOT HOLDING BACK!" he howled out and with a mighty battle cry, aimed his electric technique at Bulla's right arm. Despite his sudden rage, the teen didn't want to hurt her: only want to give a taste of his power. If his attack connected, the attack being him gliding past her and grazing her arm with his attack thus delivering the minimum damage possible: a gash and slightly electrocution. Vanto, still unable to control the attack, would keep going, his attack piercing the wall behind Bulla, the ki creating a deep dent in the wall. Vanto would then find his arm stuck and pull it out quietly.

" She muttered mostly to herself, as she slowly got back up to her feet holding her chest. That was a low blow, did he not know that a girl's chest was somewhat but not really equivalent to a boy's thing in between his legs? Narrowing her eyes at his statements, she shrugged lightly. All she wanted was for him to take battling seriously. Not to hold back because the opponent was a girl or a small kid. Looks could be deceiving. A brow rose as she looked around the gravity room slowly. It was strange and fascinating that he can produce so much energy in a short amount of time. Her hands went down from her chest and she just stood there.. waiting for him to attack her. If she had literally pissed him off with her words, it wasn't as if she could dodge him anyway. Closing her eyes, she prepared for him to hit her full force, but was surprised once again. Instead of her body, it was just her arm that had taken the damage from the attack. A hiss left her lips immediately as the pain came at her in a somewhat shocking tone. Her arm was now red thanks to the blood coming out from a gash and even if she wanted to continue.. the pain wouldn't allow her to do much attacking and her blood would ruin her position. " .. aw aren't you so cute when your all mad and raging like a teenage girl without a date to the prom" Licking her lips, she covered her hand on her gash to contain the bleeding.. ignoring the slight shock. He wasn't going to get stronger in here when she was in the same room. Vanto was just going to keep doing things like this... and hold in attacking her full force. " I.. think you can get to do a lot better without me distracting you.. She sighed and headed for the exit then paused smirking with her back turned to him " Oh.. just to put some more rage into your body. I think your kissing is horrible.. and could be a lot better" Bulla walked out the door then closed it behind her. Pfft.. thanks to him, she had to go attend to her arm. /exitand thereeeeee ya go[/ul]

Vanto successfully yanked his arm the wall, pulling a few charred wires and debris from it as well. The teen kept his body turned to the wall, assessing the damage the technique had manage to create. He wasn't expect it to do this much to a wall. There was a crater-like dent with various circuitry hanging loose from it. He smiled mentally, extremely happy with the attack power of his newest technique. His head turned slightly, allowing him to see Bulla from the corner of his eye. Her arm was drenched in crimson, all from that small little cut. The black haired hero looked at his hand which was scratched from his brief encounter with the Gravity Room's insides.
The boy stepped away from the wall and completely turned around, facing the girl for what seemed like the last time. She was in a lot of pain and that didn't set well with Vanto inwardly. Outwardly however, he kept that cold-blooded, impassive expression, simply staring at the blue headed girl. That hiss she let out and Vanto arched an eyebrow. This girl clearly wanted to piss her hero off because her ending comments did just that. But Vanto's mind was somewhere else: he felt that this was the last time they were going to be on good, rather, better terms with one another. "Right, whatever." he said, dismissing her comments just as Bulla dismissed herself from the room.
Now it was time to for him to focus. Hearing the gravity room close, Vanto walked over the middle of the room and due to the gravity, that took longer than expected. Putting his all in each step, Vanto sighed heavily and was also sweating as much. He needed to get used to this: he had to get stronger.

So he was able to rush across the room to strike down the girl he liked but was unable to move to the center in the same haste? Vanto called bullshit on that. After about five minutes, Vanto found himself panting, sweating madly, cursing at himself and yelling (all which took immense effort by the way.) The hero stopped, finally reaching his destination and felt to his knees immediately. Due to the gravity, that felt horrible: the pain of bruised kneecaps shooting through him and making him roll over in pain. "Ooooowwwwww!" he shouted, unable to grab at his knees due to the immense gravity. Vanto found himself looking up at the ceiling, now laying on his back.
It required so much effort to blink. The air was so heavy in the room. Vanto closed his eyes. He was amazed at fast he moved to attack Bulla. How willing he was to strike that bitch down during the first moments of the attack but decided against it at the end of it. Instead he was able to test Fulmen Surge (the name had decided to give his attack.) on the wall. Vanto shifted his body slightly, allowing him to look at the giant hole. Damn, he really did that.
He needed to get his body used to the gravity one way or another. The teen rolled over onto his stomach, Vanto managing to push himself up onto his bruised knees. "Ugh.." he whispered, slowly struggling to his feet. Vanto then attempted to jog around the room: at least two laps should do it..

Rumor had it that Capsule Corporation was the home of some sort of new high tech training facilities that were open for only the greatest most amazing of fighters to train in. Being that Hiro was Hiro and he considered himself greatly above average, someday maybe even as strong as the awesome Hercule himself, well, having that much faith in himself just meant that he believed he had what it took to train in such a place. The boy just... wanted to check it out. He figured, what the heck, it was past sunset, dark enough for him to sneak in without anyone noticing! Maybe even do some training while he was in there, try it a little bit, he didn’t really want to pay the cheapskates who ran the place. Plus, stealthily getting into the chamber was a fun challenge that he wanted to take. ”Heh heh,” Hiro quietly giggled, pushing open the door to the gravity chamber. Now, two things here, number one being that he hadn’t the slightest clue that the room was already occupied, which led to the second being that he had not realized the gravity would be doubled on him the moment he set foot in the room! ”Oh no!” the small boy fell face first onto the floor, his body immediately followed, leaving him sprawled out flat on his stomach. ”N—no way... what… the…” he was practically choking on his own words. He couldn’t move, the sudden change in gravity left him feeling as though a full grown adult was sitting on top of him so that he could not move.

Vanto finally got to his feet. "God..." he said before letting a large exhale, panting. Why did he hold his breath when he was doing strenuous? His eyes narrowed. Now he had to move. "Alright, Alright." he stated, attempting to raise his arms triumphantly. However, the gravity wouldn't allow that. Instead, his arms stayed stiff at his side as he attempted to circle the room.
It was pretty dispiriting that he didn't even take five steps yet. The black haired boy took one deep breath and despite the gravity, jerked his body back, raising one arm into the air. The teen took one powerful step forward, the bottom of his foot slamming against the tiles like a hammer. Vanto exhaled, nearly dropping to the ground again. Then, the door leading to the Gravity Room opened and the black haired boy thought it was Bulla again.
Instead it was some kid. Vanto turned his head slowly, partly due to him being confused and the other part due to the gravity. Some little boy just rolled up in the room and paid the price. Like all those unaware of the sudden gravity change (even though the name "Gravity Room" should have at least hinted that.) Now, the heroic teen just found himself staring at the fallen boy, waiting for any sign of movement. The gravity couldn't of killed him!
...Right?

"Hnnnah!" Hiro strained against the gravity, against the weight of his own body, against everything! It was all no good, he couldn't even manage to get his hands in the right position to push himself off the ground, let alone get himself to budge an inch...
Using all the strength that he had, the boy managed to drag his chin along the floor far enough that with a little bit of effort in straining his eyes, he was able to catch a glimpse of the person staring down at him. "Darn it," he muttered in reference to both his situation on the floor and the fact that someone else was in the room with him.
This didn't even make any sense... How was it that he, a hero-in-training, could not withstand the heightened gravity within this chamber... yet... some dumb older kid could manage it? Hiro stared up at the teenager with contempt, his head gradually tilting upward more and more so he might see him better.
Hiro wouldn't allow himself to go defeated like this, managing to finally get his arms and hands to budge, he shifted them beneath his chest. The effort that it cost him was enormous, just to get onto his knees. And that was as far as he could go before taking a break to pant and catch his breath and, surprisingly, grin at the teenager. "Hahaha! I can't be defeated so easily, joke's on you!"

This kid totally messed up Vanto's mojo. The black haired looked at the boy warily, examining him carefully. The weirdly dressed child was face-first against the ground, the gravity showing mercy as it held him down. "You should knock first, kid." Vanto stated before taking another breath and raising his leg to take another step. His boots felt like they made out of the heaviest steel in the universe, as if ten pound weights were wrapped around his ankles.
Vanto noticed the look of contempt but simply ignored it. He didn't want to deal with it right now. The teen had several things on his mind: his father, Bulla, his training, Frieza, everything important. The boy had to get stronger: in order to free his planet from Frieza's imperial rule. With Bulla's (unnecessarily mean) motivation and the drive to prove his father that martial arts wasn't useless, Vanto pushed himself father.
Out of the corner of his eye, Vanto noticed the swirling mark on the young boy's shirt and held in a chuckle. That was a symbol from one of Hercule's movies, the one about ninja or something. What was it called? Hercuto? Either way, it was lame. "By the way, kid: Hercule's garbarge, Son Goku is way better."

"................" What... did he.... just say?! "You'll pay for that!" the boy cried out, suddenly beginning to push himself fully onto his feet. Through sheer willpower, he was able to force himself off the ground. All the way until he was standing up at his full, short, height. Hiro held his hand out at his sides, his fingers gradually tightening into two fists in his anger. How could he! What sort of big, dumb, teenager would insult the greatest hero on the planet?! "Hercule is the best hero ever, don't be stupid!" slowly but surely, the boy managed to extend his arm outward, struggling against gravity the entire time as it attempted to tug his arm back down. Eventually, he was able to point an accusing finger at Vanto. "I've never even heard of any old 'Son Goku', so he can't be anything special," Hiro's arm suddenly dropped once more, gravity had finally won out against him. No longer standing up straight, the boy found himself hunched halfway over as sweat poured down each side of his face. Straining so much against it he was, and he was only attempting to stand up straight for pete's sake. "Hnn... stupid... room..."

Hiro's ignorant comment caused a lapse in Vanto's concentration and just as he lifted his leg to take another step, the teen felt to the ground. His face slammed against the gravity room floor again and an aggravated sigh left his lips. It was one thing that this gravity was pissing him off to end. It another thing that the girl he likes said some horrible things to him earlier. It was even worse some stupid Hercule fan-boy sneaked in and interrupted the black haired fighter's training session. Now he wanted to debate who was better: Hercule, the stupidest loserish showboat wannabe action hero or Son Goku, the ultimate ki-using fighter.
Vanto, the fanboy in him raging like a teenage girl without a date to prom partially thanks to Bulla came out, the teen using all his willpower to get into a hunched over position. "Son Goku is way better than Hercule! Hercule uses stupid special effects and stars in stupid movies!" he exclaimed, attempting to throw his arms into the air but couldn't due to the gravity. The thirteen year old took a deep breath and turned away from Hiro, deciding to refocus on his training regimen. This was all deja-vu: Vanto remembered having this debate a thousand times with his Hercule fangirls cousins.
A smirk appeared on his face, of course Hiro unable to see it because the older boy had his back turned to the eight year old. "Besides, a true Hercule fan would act just like him and actually pay for the gravity room instead of sneaking into it." Vanto said jeeringly, holding back a laugh. The teen had no right to talk though, seeing as he did the same.

"Those movies show just how heroic he is! Your guy doesn't have any, if he did, I'd know about it!" the boy shouted until he was satisfied with what he had said, then he proceeded to stick his tongue out at Vanto. He felt as though that would successfully get his point across, and how could it not? Unless Son Goku had a secret identity as some heroes tended to do, then Hiro had truly never heard of him. It was silly to think that this older male entertained the thought of the other guy being a hero when it was so obvious that Mr. Satan was the toughest and and most brave of all.
Before the boy knew it, he was suddenly on trial for breaking and entering! What an accusation! ...... Okay, so it was true then... But in his defense, he had not the foggiest idea that anyone would notice. "Yeah... well... H--how would you know," Hiro's face turned a light shade of pink, he was at a loss for what to say. In this situation, it was true... Hercule probably would have paid. Except in that one ninja movie where he would have stealthily found his way inside... but that excuse probably would not work so well for Hiro here.
"I bet your person, what's-his-name whoever, is made up!" the boy went on in an attempt to instigate further argument. He really wanted to dive toward Vanto, attack the teenager, maybe even jump on his back and show him who's boss. Prove to him that his guy was nothing and that Mr. Satan was the best! And he would have attempted to do all of that, and more, like punching him in the back of the head or something... But the heightened gravity defied him something fierce, instead of a vicious leap toward the teenager, Hiro's foot only lifted an inch off the ground much less dramatically and set him moving slow as a snail in a walk. Inching, shuffling, toward Vanto.
