He couldn't go to Juno's house. No way, she was beat the crap out of him.
Vanto looked at himself in the mirror, his shirt on the carpet by his foot. The burns were still there, taking form in the small red patches along his torso, left arm and right leg. The bandages were wrapped well around both his arms but the scar on his left arm was very noticeable. Noticeable to anyone who has known the boy for years and often examines him anytime they see each other for training injuries. Plus, he hadn't seen Juno in days so he was going to hear something about that as well. His eyes narrowed as he examined himself in the mirror, this time not looking over his body for burn marks or wounds but rather, checking himself out.
Ever since he met Bulla, she had made him strive to be more conscious of his appearance. The blue haired girl taught him that a person could control someone with their looks and she was the queen of that. That was a trait he didn't like about her but what he did like was the fact she was smart AND beautiful. A rare combination in this day and age. Vanto also had a feeling that beneath all that bitchiness and skimpy clothing was a deep caring soul, someone he briefly (no pun intended) met moments before he was given his first kiss.
His first kiss.
The raven-haired boy's turned a bright scarlet, so dark that the contrast between his face and torso were immediate, like black and white. Just the thought of kissing her put butterflies in his stomach, making his stumble forward slightly and grab his abdomen, slightly wincing his pain from the burns. "Ow." he said, standing up straight as the heat from his cheeks subsided. It was sad he wasn't able to kiss her back but he promised himself that day he would! Unfortunately, it didn't come to that for some reason or another. Either way, Bulla had to wait. Juno was more important.
Waiting? Wasn't Juno waiting for him?
"Shit!" he exclaimed and despite his burns and slight injuries, moved with grace and speed that wasn't his at the moment. Grasping his shirt, Vanto charged over to his window and pulled it open. Flaring his aura slightly, he leaped out, floating down to the ground quickly and dashing across his backyard, leaping over a fence and landing on his front lawn. His mother was tending to her garden at the time and upon Vanto's landing, perked up and turned to him. The teen froze right in his tracks and smiled awkwardly at his mother.
Mrs. Lux blinked innocently and held up her watering gun toward the boy. "Where are you going, mister?"
"To Juno's house." Vanto responded quickly then looked to the side. Just down the street, he could see a pink haired individual standing on the sidewalk.
"Alright." Mrs. Lux said, turning back to her garden. "Make sure you put your shirt on, you don't want to get Juno all fired up." the mother of one joked. Vanto ignored his mother's comment and ran across the front lawn onto the street. His shirt clenched tightly in his right hand, the boy forgot about his exposed burns as he darted down the street, sweating covering his body and agitating his wounds. As he neared his pink haired friend, he slowed down into a jog. Then into a walk. Once he was right behind her, Vanto cleared his throat and smiled sheepishly.
"Hey there, Juno."

"Ugh….nnn….nnnn…."
The pink haired girl groaned as she reached for her clock with her right hand, trying to find it on the mess left on her bedside table. She had to slap a couple of items before finally finding the clock. Once it was off, she rolled to her side and hid under her blanket for a while, her eyes shut closed. She felt so safe… so warm underneath her covers, it was wrong to get out.
But she had to anyways.
She grumbled as she rose from her bed, kicking the blanket to the very edge. She stretched her arms as she hopped off the mattress and walked over to her bathroom. Her eyes were half opened and drool was still sticking to the sides of her mouth. Washing her face with ice cold water, she blinked as her vision started to clear up.
Not energetic in the morning? She had to change that!
Splashing cold water on her face she started to sing on the top of her lungs, probably waking up her mother and father who were sound asleep. Running towards her room she opened her closet and looked inside it, a sheepish grin formed on her face.
"All right!" She exclaimed as she pulled out a red t-shirt and her favorite denim shorts that were now faded due to the times of over washing. Stripping off her pajamas, she pulled her clothes on and looked at the mirror. She stuck her tongue out at her reflection after she twirled to see her full figure. Sighing, she placed both hands on her hips.
"So unfair how most girls pretty much are well developed while I'm not." She said, pouting before checking the clock. She still had a few hours till she had to meet up with her best friend, someone she hand't seen in a while. With a grin, she ran down the hall up till the stairs. Laughing as she slid down the banister she flipped in the air before landing on her feet.
This was how she started her mornings. She grabbed a slice of bread and put butter on it before lounging around reading magazines for a few hours. Once she realized how much time flew by she wondered why Vanto wasn't here yet. Crinkling her nose she decided to pay him a visit.
She slammed her door shut before meeting him half way down the road.
"Heyyyy…. Vanto?" She said giving him a look.

Vanto raised his eyebrows as his met those emerald hues of Juno's, his own warm orbs examining his friend. Why was she staring at him like that? "Wha--Oh." he said, noticing his iron grip on the black article of clothing. He then realized (for the second time) his burns were exposed, in plain view for Juno to notice and then talk to him about training so hard. Who was she to talk, she was from a family of fighters. She had been fighting since the day she was born. No doubt she has a few broken bones in her life: what's a couple of burns to her? Especially when she wasn't even the one hurt. "What's up?" he said, trying to draw attention away form his body.
As he did so, Vanto began to pull on his shirt. Slipping the black shirt on effortlessly, Vanto adjusted the bandages, around his right arm slightly then completely reworking the gauze on the left arm. He pulled it up, allowing it to fully cover the scar, all while looking at Juno, a big mock-innocent smile on his face. Not even waiting for his pink haired friend to answer, he began to speak quickly in order to her attention and focus away from what he was doing. "So, how's it going? How you been the past...week?" Vanto blinked as if shocked by the amount of time he hadn't seen his good friend. Had it really been that long?

"Eh." The girl said, shrugging as she looked at her best friend. "To be honest; this week's been pretty... pretty boring actually." It was the truth. There was nothing new to do at home and she wondered why neither of them decided to talk to each other or to even ask if the other wanted to hang out. She figured that Vanto's been busy and that was the reason why he couldn't talk to her. "Can't really complain." She muttered, kicking the small rocks that found itself to the sideway. "It's been really boring without you around, well not boring... but almost." She realized she was babbling.
"How bout you?" She asked, looking at him as she stuffed her hands in her pocket. "I'm sure you've got something to tell me seeing as you're the one who was busy all week." She laughed lightly, sticking her tongue out at him. They were close friends, the best of friends actually, so if he had something to tell her; he would. She was trustworthy and he knew that. It would be almost insulting to hide anything from her.
Besides, she was curious: Why didn't he talk to her all week?

His eyes narrowed suspiciously an Vanto brought right arm in front his body, crossed over his chest while tilting his body back, an exaggerated physical response to Juno's...assumption. He did have something to tell her but didn't necessarily want to tell her. Not because he couldn't trust her, the two had known each other for years. In fact, it was that very reason the teen didn't want to tell Juno, for she would get extremely worried. Almost what Bulla did when Vanto arrived at Capsule Corp. to visit her except Juno would do that times ten. So he stood there, still in that shocked pose, eyes narrowed, his black orbs bouncing back and forth. "What did I do in this week?" he repeated, slowly dropping his pose.
Vanto dropped his head, now standing up straight and pressing his arms against his sides, clenching his fists tightly. His eyes once again on the asphalt, avoiding his friend's gaze. "See, I want to tell you..." he looked up, locking eyes with Juno. "...but I can't."

"You....can't...." She glared at him; grabbing him by the collar of his shirt. "tell me?!" She shook him violently, before putting him down and crossing her arms over her chest. "Why not?" She asked, feeling kind of hurt by Vanto. They've been friends for the longest time and with this little secret, he couldn't tell her.
"I tell you everything!" She scoffed.

Vanto squinted his eyes in response, something he always did when in an awkward situation. Then he was yanked upward by his collar, resulting in a slight yelp to escape his mouth. "Ah!" he said, eyes wide. The teen looked at his best friend in fright just before he was put down. The kid dusted himself off before looking at Juno sympathetically. "I'll tell you." he said, almost regretfully. "Just don't...cut my balls off or anything." The boy took a deep breath, the memory of the burning slaves once again in his mind. That would always be the memory he associated with his "attack" on South City. The hero took a deep breath once more preparing to tell his story.
"I...tried...to take out one of Frieza's labor camps." Vanto began, his eyes dropping to the ground. The teen didn't want to see his friend's (angry) face or even worse, her "angry-at-Vanto" face. "and I failed..somewhat?"

Pissed off. That was the only word that could describe how Vash as felt this particular day as he stood in front of this house. A large man standing before him in his doorway starring daggers at him as he stared back bored and angry. In Vash right hand sat a pizza box with what the man claimed to be a late order pizza and this was what started the bad day. Without another word from ether of them the man would turn and slam the door ending the argument and leaving Vash with a unpaid for order. It wasn't that the man didn't pay that anger Vash, but how he went about it, going so far as to yelling at him when he had arrived. Standing there Vash would build a ball of Ki in his hand as he felt the rage, but let the rage go allowing the ball to die away. He wanted so bad to blast the door down, blast the man house, his car, and yes maybe even his dog. But self control was something Vash was training himself in as was making progress.
Turning in his heel and walking back to the sidewalk Vash would sigh at the pizza box that still sat in his hand. He didn't want to waste it, but at the same time he didn't want to eat himself as he had quickly grown sick of pizza from his job. Scanning the area he would watched the few people out about in this neighborhood this day. Not many it would seem as his red eyes would spot a few here then there, but two in particular caught his attention as it appear they might have been having a fight or something as he watched the girl shake the boy around. This bought a slight grin to his normally scow face as he began his walk over the two hoping to maybe push this pizza off on one of the two. Reaching up with his left free hand Vash would remove his reddish black hair from his face, allowing him to see them better. However there seemed to be more to these kids then he first thought as he heard a bit of the boy story! "Take out one of Frieza's labor camps...and I failed ..somewhat?" The words hit heavy in Vash heart as it bought back old memories long locked away. Now with the grin gone and replaced with a serious stare Vash stopped just a yard from behind the raven hair boy. "Did I hear you right?! You really try to take out one of Frieza's camps?" he asked in a low tone as he placed his free hand on his left hip waiting for a response.

"You did what now?" Juno laughed lightly as she punched the male's arm playfully, but with force. It was then that another person joined them, someone who was definitely older than the two. Juno's cheeks reddened. This person was cute. She immediately felt her voice squeak. Uh oh. This was not good. "Why'd you try to do something like that?" She asked Vanto in a voice with a much higher pitch than her usual one. Cute guys always made her go weak in the knees and caused her to stuff up. It was not good. Not good at all. She managed to do a small giggle, as she eyed the new guy. What was she thinking? She didn't have a chance with an older boy.
She turned her attention to Vanto. "Why'd you try something like that anyways?" She asked him, her tone going back to normal now.

As soon as Vanto finished speaking, a foreign voice came from behind him, causing him to spin around faster than anyone would expect. His eyes were wide and his face was blue from fright as he stared at the black/red haired pizza delivery boy. "Uh.." he said, his voice strained because he was holding his breath. Where did this guy come from? Better yet, why didn't Vanto bring Juno to a private location and tell her about his exploits? As the black haired hero turned around, Juno hit him lightly and then her attention was gone, now on the other boy. Vanto smirked at his pink haired friend's reaction, her face turning almost the same color as her hair, maybe a shade or two off. "I'm not joking..." he said, trying to be as serious as he could at the moment, but it was hard with Juno's reaction to the boy.
Maybe if Vanto ignored the boy and changed the topic, he would go away. "...I totally passed that level! The boss was hard to beat." he said, his eyes squinting at Juno. Hopefully she'll go along with him...

Standing behind the younger boy Vash eyes would narrow at his response to his question. Was he trying to hide his statement as if he was talking about some game? Vash would almost be inclined to believe such a story if it wasn't for the few bandages that he was still able to see . Tightening his fist at the boy action Vash almost lost himself until he noticed the pink headed girl standing in front of the boy. It was the light giggle that brought his attention to the girl as she eyed him. He would rise a eyebrow at the blushing girl as he looked over her, allowing his red eyes to move over her. She was about the same height as the boy and seemed well trained her self from what he could tell from the surface. But why was she blushing? Was it because of him? Vash would only return a smile to the girl before returning his attention to the boy as he made a almost evil grin "A game you say. Well then I guess it's good that's it only a game cause from the looks of those bandages your not very good at it!" He would almost in a sarcastic voice, making it hard to tell if it was meant to be instructing or not, but his eyes watching everything.

They were talking a game as far as this guy knew. Vanto turned to the pizza delivery boy in agitation, raising a hand threatening at him. "I am definitely talking about a game." he shouted, raising a second hand. Now he was waving his hands in the air dramatically attempting to shoo the Pizza man. "No one here ordered pizza so leave." Vanto was coming off as mean right but honestly didn't care. This guy was intruding on their conversation and that wasn't going to fly. Vanto stood there, back turned to Juno, arms crossed over his chest, awaiting the teen's reply nonchalantly.
