The bandages are his own touch, wrapped around his arms, lower legs and blade they lend a whimsical air to his ensemble whose pastiche nature should look a lot less natural than it does. As a ‘human’ Aramis wears the face of a young man, long black hair bunched up into a ponytail and sharp black bangs hanging down in sharp strands, occasionally obscuring his eyes, generally the right one. Even when they don’t he seems to be perpetually squinting and it’s hard to get an idea of what his eyes look like. He’s clearly quite strong, toned muscles visible from his open shirt and the ease with which he carries his blade. He’s not terribly tall, maybe 5’7’’ or 5’8’’ but he’s surprisingly heavy despite his lack of girth, weighing in at more than two hundred pounds. Curiously, for someone who is obviously so trained he doesn’t seem to have any calluses or scars and anyone in direct contact with him might notice that he seems to be slightly warmer than average although he doesn’t ever seem to sweat. These discrepancies are quite easily explained: Aramis is not human. In his ‘true’ form, Aramis is covered in a thick, coal-black skin. His face is that of a demon, with teeth exposed and fangs covering extruding out of his mouth. Thick red lines run from runs across his face as well as from both clavicles to his back. His eyes are black instead of white and the irises the colour of gold. Although the rest of his fake ‘human’ skin is easily fabricated the eyes are not, thus leading to Aramis’ frequent squinting. In a pinch though his costume is made in such a way as to suggest that the eyes are fake and that he’s blind… as far a cry from the truth as possible. LIKES:

PERSONALITY: |
Nonetheless, despite that arrogance Aramis is quite a pleasant person to know. An excellent conversationalist he can be both witty and amusing, darkly sardonic or alarmingly cheery. Like the human skin he wears, it is only skin-deep though: beneath that pleasant exterior lies a monster that, quite literally, feeds on pain. He can banter and joke while involved in good round of torture (actually, that’s his general modus operandi) and is more than capable of seeing close allies (‘friends’ is not a concept he endorses as ‘real’ in the sense of existing outside of stories and fairy tales) be slaughtered without batting an eye.
He is also evil in the sense of being a corruptor. He is not one for half-measures though, turning good to evil is such a primitive art. Rather, the values that the subject holds most dear driven to excess… yes, that is a far more engaging sort of pastime. The self-satisfied beauty that starves themselves while looking at their own reflection, the noble liege that drives their kingdom to ruin due to their own honour and integrity, the berserker that slaughters its own family, the great loves that cleave apart home and country – such lives are the stuff of which epics are woven and Aramis adores them with every fibre of his being. Most of the time.
What drives Aramis, beyond the petty call to corrupt and defile is the simplest and oldest vices: curiosity. New things are, for him, terribly exciting although he generally masks this well. He doesn’t hunt for new experiences per se but stumbling across them is like finding a diamond in the rough and he cherishes each instant even if he knows it’ll be the last: once he’s seen something once, well, it’s not like his memory will go away.

STRENGTHS:
- Experience: Existing for as long as he has ain’t just for show. Aramis is greatly knowledgeable on a wide variety of subjects and it can be quite surprising what he will pull out when pressed.
- Demon: Due to his nature, Aramis recovers from mental wounds much faster than normal. Pain barely fazes him, ethics are a strange little parasite that he routinely destroys, conscience is a ghost of an impression long devoured and psychological torture… well, often enough he can render his torturer into a catatonic mute.
- Manipulation: Speaking of which, Aramis is an expert at psychological torture and trickery. Few can lie to his face without him noticing and although he considers physical torture a ‘base’ art he is very adept at it. In addition, he is good at passing for what most would consider a ‘normal’ human.
- Thick Skin: Aramis’ actual body is ludicrously tough. Even when sleeping, bullets literally bounce off of him.
- Vitality: Aramis has is overflowing with vigour and can last long battles much better than others.
WEAKNESSES:
- Inhuman Aura: Most with any ki sensitivity at all can intuitively grasp the fact that Aramis isn’t human… and maybe not even mortal. Some perceive it as a stench in the air, a cloying fog, or even a dark aura. If he lives anywhere for any length of time smaller creatures will fall ill and die after being exposed to it, etc. He never lets this fact slow him down though.
- Massive Trauma: Because he is usually quite a bit more powerful than most he meets and resists pain to an astonishing degree, Aramis will actually fail to notice when he starts taking more damage than he could easily recover from. This is a weakness he is aware of, leading to-
- Unwillingness to take chances: Due to getting sealed in a bottle for a hundred years when he was a young demon, Aramis will usually flee when the battle looks anything close to fair. Although to others this might seem cowardly, to Aramis it is simply common sense. Besides, he’s been around for several hundred years, getting destroyed for no good reason would be, ah, somewhat embarrassing.
- Unusual Appetite: Feeding off pain as he does, Aramis literally cannot go deprived of company for a great length of time. Just like how humans cannot feed off their own excrement he cannot feed on his own pain, leading him to leech off the pain of others and being in their company by necessity. To him, a physical confrontation is also a meal.
- Allergies: In the company of particularly happy people or love, Aramis will start tearing up uncontrollably. This is either due to being a romantic sap or literally being allergic to love. Either way, he’s not commenting.

HISTORY:
Anyway, this blood-drenched episode brought him to the attention of the Makaioshins and seeing as he was such a promising demon, was sent to hone his particular art. At first most assumed it to be killing and he was placed in a warrior clan... but as it became clear that he did not work well in groups, he was later transferred to 'Truth Production' where he excelled.
Due to the connections that the Demon World had with the human, Aramis was relatively young the first time he went to the human world, only a piddling hundred or so. And what he saw there both gratified and horrified him: such variations in temperament, such extreme highs and lows, such desultory, self-destructive numbskulls, such amazing, selfless paragons of justice! After a whirlwind of about twenty years, he grew accustomed to human pain: it was a buffet of such excellent and wonderful taste.
Unfortunately, his fun was to come to a ridiculous end: a passing monk noticed his presence and sealed him in a bottle where he was forced to dwell for a hundred years. Some foolish child released him; as a reward, Aramis spent a good fifteen years putting him into a position of such power that he quickly grew to become one of the most fearsome tyrants Earth had ever experienced. A job well done, for certain and such a magnificent feast too.
After that was done with, Aramis returned to the Demon World, informing his lord of human techniques that could entrap them and advising against invasion. He dwelt in the Demon World for the next several hundred years, the 'expert on humans' that was called whenever a human happened to wander into the Demon World by accident. Due to recent events that have made Earth Central to the Universe, he has been sent, alongside other Demons, to investigate this 'Dr. Hypnos' and his so-called Empire.
Aramis, admittedly, is just there for the food.[/ul]
