The Onmyoji come from Planet Onmyodo, which acts as a doorway to a world that most other species just can't go. Here live Shikigami, spirits of incredible power that need a living host to survive. But Shikigami are child-like, and the wisdom of the Onmyoji has tempered them, leading to a very symbiotic relationship. Onmyoji look quite Human, except for their ever-present aura of Shikigami, which sets them apart almost immediately. Their bodies naturally act as doorways to the Shikigami realm.
Shikigami themselves appear as little motes of light, most of them not very intelligent. They multiply so fast in their home dimension that it makes no difference if they are destroyed in an attack. Every Onmyoji has an Shogun Shikigami, an intelligent symbiote that creates the minor Shikigami for the Onmyoji to use in his/her magic.
- Shikigami Flight: Like Ki-based flight, only uses Shikigami Motes.
- Shikigami Blast: Like a standard Ki Blast, only using Shikigami.
- Shikigami Conjuration: Like Materialization, only using Shikigami Motes as the basis of the object created.
- Shikigami Prestidigitation: Minor parlor tricks using Shikigami, including basic illusions affecting only one sense at a time, or locking/unlocking locks, etc.
- Shikigami Binding: An energy attack in which the Shikigami fuse into bands of light to wrap around the target and paralyze them.
- Shikigami Warding: A shield made out of Shikigami, designed to protect from physical and mystical/ki harm, but user can't do anything else while active.
- Shikigami Healing: Uses Shikigami to heal wounds of Onmyoji or others.
Transformations:
Merged: When the Onmyoji merges with his Shogun Shikigami, they create the composite creature known simply as the Merged. The Merged is more powerful, and, typically, the Onmyoji won't achieve this coveted capability without first undergoing some MAJOR trials and tribulations.
