There was a small plot of land which retained its natural state, with the centerpiece of the area holding up a medium sized Oak Tree. Flowers were found here and there in roughly a two meter diameter away from the tree where there was nothing other than soil, but from that point on there was a covering of grass that stretched for another three meters in every direction. At the end it caught up with the advanced society of West City, although that was simply a part of living the city life; you didn't really have a multitude of chances to appreciate nature. You just had to find a good spot where it was all contained, and use that.
With his butt touching the soil and his back leaning up against the strong trunk of the tree, a teenager would just be thinking to himself about a couple of different thing. All in all he was just waiting for a way to find the answer to his problems, one that was a fast solution. Freedom was not something easily found, war was as spread as Oxygen. One could consider it luck that the Capsule Corporation was located in West City, else it probably would have been blasted off the face of the earth just as East City had been.
It was in that thought where the problem's core was found: Frieza. Ever since the fighters of the past had been defeated, there was no one on the Earth who was strong enough to stand up to anyone who came to the planet. Even the strongest of the remaining martial artists just weren't enough; that was probably why a majority of them remained. With strength, even though it didn't compare to the evil forces of the tyrant, came a lot of responsibility. They knew that the time was not now to stage a rebellion, but instead to wait when they were stronger, and at that point launch a counter attack upon their strongholds to bring down everything that could be considered useful.
Kairin was just a teenager, and although he knew the ins and outs of Ki, there was a lot that he was missing. He would have to work to his limit in order to even begin to think that he could help at all; that's where his personality really was an advantage. No matter what he could have to overcome, he was relentless. Bravery and boldness defined him perfectly, and his determination knew no equal as far as he cared. If training was what he needed to do, then it would just have to work, no matter the amount of time that he would have to put into the effort. He wasn't about to give up, no matter what it took on his part of the deal.

Rose, with a towel on the back and music in his ears ran with great determination, on what he would call "old-school training." He needed every bit of training if he was going to be stronger. The smile that was on his face was infectious, as he greeted people that he had never met before, looking like he had just ran a marathon. He wiped of the sweat that produced on his head and tried to catch his breath, figuring out that his water bottle had needed a refill.
He walked into a nearby park and sat on a bench, trying to relax. He saw ahead of him the tower that he had his encounter with Cooler, as he refused to call him 'Lord'. That day, everything changed for him. His parents had taught him how to fight and use his ki and productive ways, but also to use it to protect his friends. But when he was attacked by Cooler, he wanted to throw everything out and replace it with pure rage. But he knew that wasnt enough to defeat him. That was the whole reason he was doing this, just to get strong enough to fight him. The very thought of him fighting on par with Cooler raged him, to the point where here smashed a hole through the bench he was sitting on.
Rose tried to relax and think of other things, but it was no use. All he could think about was Cooler. He thought so hard that he didnt notice that his water bottle was rolling away from him. Rose caught up to the bottle, as it stopped near a person leaning against a tree. "Sorry about that." He smiled at the stranger.

Things were going pretty normal so far. The power levels of those around him where that of a human level, not many coming around the level of his, although it was a complete lie to say that he was the strongest one there. A particular fellow who didn't have a cell of his face visible was roughly three times as strong as Kairin judging by his power level, and his appearance meant he was either an alien of some sort, or a known resistance member. Not feeling the need to talk to that person due to the chance of it being the first predicament, he would just remain where he was against the tree. It had taken a little getting used to, but he back had found the perfect place against the bark to apply pressure; almost like a couch.
Back to focusing on the minority around him, humanity was looking awfully grim today. Nothing in Kairin's eyes was right, and he would have to work to do all that he could in changing that, along with the inevitable others who shared a common goal in defeating the tyrant Frieza and his goons. Earth was not their place to be using as a stepping stone or rest stop in space, they were here as over lords, and sometimes a coup d'état changed the field of battle. Although Kairin didn't really think that he would be a good person to be in charge, just getting Frieza away was the important part. Contemplation on this subject was not normally something Kairin did... maybe taking a rest was a better idea than he had at first realized.
A small object would roll towards Kairin, although not make contact with him due to the way the ground was made and such. The ground would work in terms of absorbing the initial force the bottle had when it was dropped, and then all of the grass and soil did no aid to allow it to continue along its roll. There was no reason to be sorry for the action which had happened, it was not like the bottle had caused any damage or such. "Don't be silly, you have no reason to be sorry. Your action was in no way offensive or disruptive," he would say as he looked up to see the face of the alleged dropper. Scanning the power level quickly, it wasn't too shabby.

Rose shook his head with a big grin on his face. He didnt mean to be so apologetic all the time, it was just how he was, even if it was for the smallest things, like a water bottle hitting a stranger. He picked up his water bottle and laid it against his foot, making it so it would not disturb anyone else. He then realized that this person was not ordinary at all, since his power level was a bit higher than normal humans kind of like his, but maybe just a bit higher, but Rose was looking to change that.
He looked up in the sky and saw that the sky was a bright blue, as he did not even notice since he was in his meditative state. "Beautiful day outside. Is it not?" Rose could see the expression on his new friend's face that he was a little lonely, at least in Rose's eyes he was. He had been making a lot of new friends in the past week, but he thought about how his friend-to-enemy ratio was a little off, 2-to-1, but he figured that he would always meet an enemy just as long he was living, as it could be that this person is just as evil as Cooler. But Rose was just a curious kid at heart, it was like he didnt know what a cat was, it was soft and furry, but did he know how furious cats could be?
He extended his hand out towards the person and smiled greatly. "Roseliando Hope, But my friends call me Rose."

It was true that Kairin's power level was quite higher than a normal human, and even some of those that are fluent in any form of combat. He was no prodigy, but ever since the loss of his father at the hands of Frieza as well as never really knowing his mother, he just had that drive to really improve himself so that maybe one day he would be powerful enough to take down that evil tyrant. At this point in time he was not strong enough to even put any sort of dent in the alien's plan for world domination, but with time, effort, and friendship of those who share in the same plan as him... maybe it wouldn't exactly be that far fetched to think that in the end of this era on Earth, Frieza would be no more. Getting away from thoughts of Frieza, Kairin had to focus on what he had in front of him, that being the human.
There was one side plus to not exactly knowing anyone, whether they be friend or foe, and that was that Kairin had no enemies he could think of. Sure, there was that gang he managed to beat up in the time frame of about two minutes, but he neither knew them nor did they honestly know him. They got in his way, so naturally he did what he could in terms of defending himself, and it just so happened that in the process they were all knocked out, and their ruler was made an absolute fool of while his subordinates were no longer conscious. That was a rather interesting day to think of, being how in the end of a lot of work and effort nothing had been done, being how a sudden storm decided to ruin all of the hard work Kairin had put into the building of a new structure. Oh nature, how evil it can be at the worst of all time....
Hearing the voice of the person in front of him, being how it was a question there would be no reason for Kairin not to answer it. "Yes, I suppose it it a rather nice weather. Much better than it can get, that's for sure," as the lightning bolt came to mind, not that it was necessarily of importance to Rose. Seeing the extension of the arm as well as another comment, this time being the name of the person who was standing in front of him, Kairin would do the same. "Nice to meet you, Roseliando. The name's Kairin Tsurugi," as subconsciously Kairin would scan the Ki of the person to compare it to himself. It was at a fairly decent level, although not quite comparable to his own. Training was a rigorous thing, but in the end of a long day of work it was definitely worth it.
