Trying to find something other than straight up training while at the same time working the muscles of his body, Kairin had decided it would be for the best to travel over to the nearby remains of what used to be East City, a sort of sister city to his home. He wasn't sure exactly what he would be able to do for the people there, or if there really were any people there that he would be able to help, but surely his rather advanced intellect as well as well built muscles would be able to help him in this situation.
The distance between his home and his destination were too far to walk or run while maintaining a good time, though physically he could probably pull it off. Flight was the easy way out, while at the same time using his energy and building up endurance needed to train his body for continuous expenditure of ki. It might be the easy way out, but in no means was it a free ride to East City.
Being able to spot the debris of the city from a good couple of miles before he actually arrived, every moment he spend in the air speeding towards the place, everything began to get more and more clear. There were small blotches of civilization, but for a vast majority of the desolate area, there was just nothing but destruction. It was definitely not a pretty sight, but that was just a fact of life; sometimes things don't work out in your favor. The good side of it is that there was a way for Kairin to work his body while still helping the less fortunate, so at the end of the day he should feel better than he arrived.

Seeing a number of four "homes" that were within a close proximity to each other, Kairin felt that this was where he would begin working. If whatever he built was useful enough for people to actually use as shelter, then they wouldn't be alone for as long as their eyes could see, and hopefully poverty was not so overrun in this area that everyone was being driven away, though he couldn't necessarily say that such a thing was not occurring. With the way the city looked it was a surprise anyone decided to continue to live there, getting money and food was surely no easy task.
However that was one of the things that allowed Kairin to come here, the will of the people who were so determined to live where they probably only ever knew as their home for their entire life. It was fairly heart warming, and Kairin could easily relate to the lose of things close to him, although in the form of family members as opposed to memories and material objects. One thing was definite, and that was that both of them were taken away by no one other than Freiza, both the city and Kairin's dad.
Of course he wasn't proud of that relationship, it still remained true and in tact. He would have to live with it for his entire life, while on the other hand the city could be rebuilt to how it was back in the past, before the menace of a person Frieza came upon the plant to rule it with an ugly tail. That was the reason he was doing this, so on one point he had to thank the disgusting alien; without his presence on the planet Kairin would probably have been held back in terms of his true potential.

Finally landing down on the ground, Kairin took a couple of minutes to scout around what he had to work with, and what was completely useless to him. There was a lot of destroyed structures in which the salvageable materials were not limited to simply the wood in which the walls used to be made of, but for some unlucky buildings, even that much was not to be found. A couple of faces would appear, likely from the already made structures nearby, and he would simply smile and wave, letting them know he had pure intentions for being there.
With his college-level intellect a building would in no means be a hard feat, if only he actually had the right materials to be making them from. Nails and the like would not be easy to find, at least easy in terms of time. If there was something that he shouldn't be doing it would be to stand around and think about what he couldn't do, but instead get to work until there wasn't anything else he felt necessary.
There was a roughly twenty-five meter by fifteen meter area that was relatively open, just a couple of miscellaneous things that he would have to get out of the way before starting his structure. Luckily, he would hope, none of them happened to be a building of any sorts; and whether or not it had always been that way was unknown.

After moving all of the things away from his work space, it would be time to go head out and gather the materials needed for a basic structure, starting out with the wood. From the dozens upon dozens of nearby destroyed building, Kairin would begin to find any long and more or less perfect condition, and gather them. It was no easy task, but he knew when he first came here that it wouldn't be a five minute task.
When determining that he had enough for just one way, it was time to begin the plotting for this. His mind would begin to run through simple and easy, yet at the same time effective designs for a building made purely of wood and nails. A few would come to mind, but in the end a simply two family house seemed like it could work for the amount of area he was given as well as the material he had at hand.
Since it would be a two family house in design, it would be best to make a dividing wall between where the two families would reside; in technicalities it was just two separate houses with nothing in between the two. Nothing special would come out of it, but his whole heart and soul would be put into the project, in an effort to make things easier for even just a few people of the destruction zone.

Now the fun part of getting the single wall to stay together would come underway. He could use rope like material to bind them together, or test his luck with finding nails that aren't completely torn apart from the head. Not knowing of any close by area where he would be able to find any plants that would fit into the classification to be used as a rope, it would be a fun game trying to find nails. Maybe after getting the centerpiece together he wouldn't really need to do the same for the rest, but should a storm come down through this part of the world, then who knows if it would even last a minute to semi-above average winds. He would have to really think about the specifics later, but for now focus on the current topic at hand so he didn't make a major mistake that would cost the inhabitants of the structure later; not like they would really have anything else if it wasn't for him in the first place.
It would be at that point in which Kairin realized he was not going to be finding what he was looking for, and that trying to build a house out of wood was not worth it, he would have to use some other type of material which he could use alone. Concrete would have to do, as chunks of it could be found just about everywhere. If he managed to mind extremely large sized pieces then they would be most ideal, as he would be able to trim them down to the exact size that he wanted them to be. This also changed the fact that this would take two days in the least, but it's not like there was anyone back over in West City who was really waiting for him to come home tonight, or at all for that matter.
Getting to work, a foundation would also have to be present for this to work, so he would change area to a location where he was able to see about half of an already laid out foundation. Lucky for him it had not been damaged in the slightest, it was just a matter of clearing the remainder of a structure that was there, and all of the smaller debris. Standing on top of the foundation with a story and a half in front of him, Kairin would send out three punches into the air, releasing a Ki Blast with each strike into the air. By the time the third one came into existence, he had done what he intended to do with them, and could get on with the little things.

Most of what had been hit with the Ki Blast was burnt off the face of the earth, but the sturdier materials just crumbled up into dust. Being a perfectionist, this would be a laboring task at hand, in which Kairin scouted out the area with a quick spin of his head. Spotting the location for all of this rubble, he would begin to grab anything his hand would get a nice grip on, and toss it there. He was not rushing, taking his time as he cleared out the location of the house. Being roughly the size of what he planned on making, his plan to make a two family house had not yet changed, although it was not necessarily set into stone. His mind was not sure, so while he cleared out the area it would begin deciding exactly what it wanted to do, and what it did not.
In terms of actual mass, eighty percent of it was now cleared out, and it had only taken him... two hours since arriving. Unfortunately it was also the easiest thing to be doing, and the least time consuming. The time was just slipping off of his skin like the sweat, but a workout happened to do that from time to time, it was just something to expect. Getting on his knees now, he began to push the small dust and such into piles near the edge of the foundation, so that he could get it out of the small pit of sorts. Once again no easy task, at least it gave him a sort of break from overexerting his muscles, another one of his special "perks".
Things were thus far going pretty smoothly, running into only a little mishap at first. Luckily not a lot of time had been spent on his first project, so there was little to lose from it as a whole. It also let him scout out the materials that were present, and the area he was dealing with. It felt lonely, as if there was really no one there expect the people he had seem for but a few moments. They were probably scared, living alone from the world. When another person comes they just think that they're coming for the wrong reason, and more or less are within justified reasoning to be in that sort of mindset. It was just sad to see the negative effect people could have. Someone had to stop it, and Kairin was only wanting to be that person more and more.

Now more than anytime before he would have to hope his patience would last him and he began to scoop out the remaining bits and pieces, which was making the time add up at a rather alarming, although understandable rate. It might not have been as "over and down with" as one could wish for, but the cleaning job had been done, and he would finally be able to get to work with actual building; maybe he wouldn't have to spend two days on the project if he could find his material and get everything in order. Seeing this as a good time to take a break, he would use his right hand to push up off of his knees, and spin around to land on his butt, where he would just sit at the end of the foundation.
Having no stored food, he had not really though about bringing a lunch or dinner, so some time would probably have to be taken out of the City into the forest surrounding it, again a diversion that would take out roughly an hour and a half from actually working. Enough had been done for now, sitting for five minutes to let his muscles at least attempt to fix themselves would not hurt while Kairin's brain went to work trying to calculate the weight of concrete needed altogether. He might not bee in the same intellectual level he was five years ago, which he considered his prime, but he still knew a lot more than an average human in more than one way.
After deciding that there were too many unknowns in the equation to get a really specific range, he had a range differing by roughly 274 pounds from minimum to maximum, which would have to do with now. Including all of the parts that would in the end by useless and what not, it's not like it would be too accurate in terms of raw material, as he was getting it from the field. No money to purchase actual food, let alone proper construction tools and material, certainly did not help him in his efforts. It couldn't be escaped, so he would just have to quickly find some animal to satisfy his stomach which he continued to work; he could probably save some time be cooking and eating the beast near the construction zone, though it would just have to be caught in the wilderness, which was a few miles from his location.

Just as the male was getting up from his seat to hastily go into a nearby animal infested area for some food, a previously "undetected" power level would be sensed within a close proximity to his location, and moving inward. It was nothing special, but the fact that it was so close and moving towards him was what alarmed him, as before he had been too focused on the work at hand to really give a damn about it all. When he took another second to think about it, he could identify three separate power levels all near each other, although it turned out they all added up to the single power level he thought he was sensing, meaning they were all weaker than first anticipated if he was not mistaken.
Within moments they would all come from on top of a nearby destroyed structure which had been holding on to dear life by threads. As the men were falling to the earth with the intention of killing Kairin and taking all the money he had on his body, the building would begin to loosen. Within five minutes the thing was coming down, regardless of what it was going to be falling on top of, possibly less time if another catalyst helped in the process. It was not looking great for the boy, as he would have to do the entire process over when the building came down, and he had no knowledge that it was indeed about to fall to earth. He menaces would have to be dealt with, for even their weak power level would be able to kill Kairin if he didn't do anything to defend himself.
Punch. Kick. Slam. In three simple moves all of his would be attackers were down and for the count, possibly dead for all that the boy really cared for. He had hit them in pretty vital areas, two on the head and one in the chest. Concussions, broken bones, internal bleeding. Honestly, anything that they had was of their own doing, and the knives in each of their hands was not helping them to plea their case, not that Kairin would ever have to look at their faces if he could help it. Gathering them all he would grab their clothes with one hand as he began to fly towards the forest, dropping them in a small body of water along the way. Chances are their survived, but nothing was a definite.

With everything out of the way, Kairin would be flying towards the food source around the same time the building collapsed upon his work area, something he had not expected. It was probably for the best that it happened now, and not in the middle of building the structure, or when any inhabitants were actually using it as a place of shelter. More things to worry about only added up to more things to do, which is the equation for more time and effort to be invested in the project at hand. Although his muscles weren't really feeling especially fatigued or tired, he knew that at the rate he was moving they would probably be feeling quite heavy upon setting out for dinner, at which point he would be lucky to have the base of his structure built.
The flight to the forest would be a pretty quick one, which would lead to the Ki sensing of the animals around him. They all had but the smallest amount of Ki in them, and it could not even be truly called a power level because it was merely their life essence as opposed to anything else, but it really didn't matter upon the specifics of things. There were a lot of squirrels and such in the tree tops, but that didn't really appeal to the teenager. He was looking for something with a bit more meat on its bone, and at the sight of a nice boar he was delighted. It was fairly heavy, and would turn out to be one of the nicest meals he has had in a while.
Immediately chasing after the pig, the animal would turn around and try to get away, although it would be a valiant effort it was just not enough. Kairin would speed up along its tail, and pick up the small beast by its stomach with his right arm. Stopping dead in his tracks he would admire the animal for a few moments, before it attempted to bite his arm. Giving it a quick blow to the head it would stare in the direction it had been looking at upon impact for but a split second, before closing its eyes. Effectively knocked out cold, a few sticks and such would be gathered in his left hand, especially a particularly large on which would be sent through the pig to hold it in place above the fire Kairin had in store. It wasn't really the nicest thing that he could be doing for the pig, but for such an effort in catching it, it definitely owed Kairin.

With the fortunes of good luck, Kairin would decide it be best to return to the construction site so that he could begin formulating and setting into action his plans for the building while the pig was cooking over a mild fire. He would be able to maintain it while not getting behind track in his work. By the looks of the beast he could use it for both lunch and dinner to save some time, but manual labor always did increase a man's appetite. Without wasting much time he would once again take flight into the air, heading back in the general direction of where he had the foundation all laid out and perfect, but for some reason he was just unable to find it. After all it really couldn't be all that hard to find a completely cleaned foundation in the ground, it was hard to miss when compared to the destruction and debris of the area around him.
Where he felt that he had it all done, because the area around it was mostly identical except for something that was just wrong, there was a large pile on the ground. Using his foot, he would dig through the pile of rubble and find nothing but the foundation that was now covered with pounds upon pounds of things that once more had to be moved out of the way so that the building process could be started. Reminding himself that such a thing was in no way the easiest part of the whole job, he would get angry for just a second. Logically there had to be a reason the building fell. He would put his mind hard to work in trying to determine any possible reasons.
Suddenly he would remember the three buffoons who had attempted to somehow deface him, having come towards him by jumping from the structure, although he quickly put them on silence. Now set back, he would throw the still unconscious pig and wood in a rather clear area where he would do all of the cooking, and study the other structures which could interfere with his plans. seeing only one such object, he would quickly fire off two Ki Blasts at it, and as it fell to the ground no longer determined it as a threat to his work. Ready to proceed with things, it was time to get cooking!

Being quite used to cooking such animals like the boar presented in front of him, the process would be rather easy. That is, getting the beast on the large wooden stick which would be used to hold it up over the fire while it was tenderly and slowly cooked to perfection. Getting the smaller twigs and such laid out strategically, Kairin would get a particularly straight one and hold it in between his two palms. Rubbing back and forth the friction would ignite a small fire at first, which would then spread out to all of the wood that it could, some being at a safe enough distance to be used at a later time. Taking a hunk of rubble, he would use it to hold the whole boar over the fire without occupying his hands, leaving him to continue on with his labor for approximately ten minutes before the need to flip it over and cook the other side.
Turning around to the destruction zone over the foundation that had been perfect such a small time frame ago, Kairin knew he would have to stick with it. He didn't know how many foundations he could find that were as perfectly intact as this one, and chances are he was saving time simply using the same one. It wouldn't be the most fun thing to be doing, but he found himself on his knees again as he moved from one end to the next, clearing out anything and everything in an organized fashion so as not to overlook anything else like he seemed to be doing the previous two times. Some things were going in his favor, others were going pretty dang bad, and that was a fact of life. If he didn't have the determination to keep on going despite this, who would he be in the face of Frieza?
After getting about a fourth of the plot cleared out he figured it had been roughly ten minutes, and returned to the boar which was cooking ever so nicely. Carefully he would flip the creature, letting he unexposed side cook while the cooked side began to cool down. As tasty as it looked he preferred his mouth not burned, so he would just have to wait until it was more or less safe to eat. By that he meant he would return to working even though he could probably eat the entire boar then and there, burning hot or uncooked as it was. The labors of this world were doing their job, draining him of his energy. That would soon end, but for now he would have to push through it.

Roughly an equal size of the foundation would be cleared in the ten minute period, marking that the whole pig was more or less ready to be devoured. The work had been going along smoothly, and even though he was technically falling behind schedule, there was still sunlight to shine on the land, and it was truly only about one o'clock. You can't blame a teenager for being hungry, especially after they've spent a good number of hours strenuously working their body, only ready to keep working. Deciding it was simply for the best, Kairin would stop his muscles from working any longer, and would for a second time walk over to the pig, which was perched so elegantly on the stick over the fire. Now knowing what he was waiting for, he would land softly on his butt and reach over to the stick.
The part that had been cooling down was still warm, but not to the point where he was burning his mouth. The moisture level was absolutely perfect, and to say the least he considered himself good enough to make a living off of such cuisine, although the health and safety regulations might not be up to par with what they're supposed to be. The least of the teen's worries was dying of some horrible disease from under cooking, because there was absolutely no denying it: the divine taste in his mouth was cooked to perfection, and that was exactly what the perfectionist inside of him was screaming. On more than one occasion Kairin found himself cooking a meal more than once, although at this point he had a self timer for cooking.
Although he could use something to drink, the moisture from the meat would suffice for the next couple of hours. If he noticed any sort of fatigue or lack of motor skills, he would be sure to consult with the nearest doctor, or body of water he could find. When his stomach was pretty damn full he would place the boar back where it had been cooking, although extinguishing the fire so as not to burn what he would be saving as a dinner. Turning around to get back to work, Kairin would see the wind had spread out the mess a little, but it was nothing that would take too long to get back to before his break, just two or three minutes of blowing and dusting. More or less fully refreshed, it was time to clean... again.

Finding himself on his knees for whatever number this time, work was being performed. Not giving two thoughts about what he was going to do, he was simply tossing things out of the foundation pit, the a small area behind him that would neither hamper him or pose a threat to anyone. Being able to sense the Ki of those around him, even a normal human with barely anything to be considered power would be picked up, and using his advanced intellect and strength, he would simply alter the path in which he was tossing away the miscellaneous materials which had managed to find their way into the work place of the teenager. Wind was not a big factor, at least not up to this fact, and he didn't see it as a potential threat due to the nature of the materials he was dealing with.
It seemed like an hour trying to get every little thing out, again where a perfectionist was not exactly helpful. In reality it was somewhere between half an hour to three-fourths of one, but keeping track of such a thing was not really fun, so it was not being performed. He would get done when he got done, and that was all that really mattered. His muscles were hard at work, and his heart was in the right place. Looking down upon a spotless foundation once more, he could finally move on from the stalemate he seemed to be having time and time again. Already knowing what he was going to be using this time as the material for the structure, it would all be about execution.
First on the list would be large quantities of concrete which he would be able to break according to how he wanted them. He would be lucky to find little blocks of sorts, so he simply had to make due with the environment and that which was free to take. It took about five minutes, but two enormous chunks of concrete would be taken back to the site near the foundation; this was really where the muscle strain began to take effect. If the concrete monuments could be used in their entirety the teen would have enough for what he was planning on making, but he knew in the end he would have unusable scraps, dust from breakage, and just pieces that did not end up the way they were supposed to be: aka useless.

Doing a sort of balancing act on top of the smaller of the two concrete slabs, Kairin began to think of a way to hit in that would cause it to give him a nice clean cut. He had no tools or enough knowledge about the structure of the concrete to determine where or how he was supposed to hit in in one fell swoop, so it would come down to doing it in bits and pieces. Luckily he had brought along his brass knuckles, which he put into place before getting to work. Little by little the concrete would begin to form into a wall, even though that is what he presumed it had been used as before, he really couldn't be completely sure. Since it was the smaller one, he would have to be careful not to waste too much of the concrete, but he didn't think the end result could possibly be too small for probably now-homeless people.
Hit. Hit. Hit. Hit. Dust was being sent up into the air with each connection between the brass knuckles and the concrete; small precise blows which were meant to do damage over time instead of large destructive force. Definitely the true way to train, it was as if he was doing a large number of repetitions instead of trying to power his way through an exercise. The truest way to work the body is to do it in a controlled and slow paced state for maximum gain, else you're not only probably doing it in wrong posture, but you're missing out on the benefits that can be reaped in through allowing each repetition to finish before going on to the next.
Getting to top of the wall pretty straight and full, Kairin would land on the ground before beginning to shift it so that it would sit straight up and down. He knew it would be easier to work with his he wasn't playing a game with gravity and how he was standing upon it while he worked. When finding the spot it would be sitting on since it was flat with no significant debris, Kairin would get ready, and lift the concrete slab. It was considerably heavy in aspect, but not to a point where Kairin couldn't walk a couple of steps and place it gently, it was the type of thing he more or less expected, although wasn't really hoping for, when he had first arrived. If it was to further his gain, then he would just go through with lifting up the heavy things. One side of his wall was done, only five remained.

Thinking for a second which of the five sides he was going to work on next, he decided to get the four edges done and smooth before trying to get the thing flat, else he could end up making a fatal mistake with the end result of the think crumbling up into dust. Keeping a steady hand on the structure while giving it a beat down brass knuckle style was also a good idea, else it could at any point be sent to its doom towards earth, where Kairin would just hope he could save it in time. As much as he wanted to help the people around here, he was more or less in it for the training aspect of it, as much as he hated to admit it to himself. He wasn't about to get stuck over the idea of building a house; if it came to the fact it wasn't going to happen, then it simply was not going to be forced.
All through his rampage on the inanimate object, Kairin was trying to determine which aspect of the block would be hardest to get just right, because he didn't really have that much of a problem with the first edge, now sitting rather perfectly along the ground. Guessing it would end up to be the two misfitted sides, he knew he was probably right considering he was basically using bass knuckles as a sand paper. Where as the edges were fairly small in comparison, the sides were wide and tall, and a blow too strong could end up cracking the entire thing, which would result in about an hour of wasted effort and time as far as the building's progress game in to play, as meaningless and menial it was.
The top was done, and he right and left edge would soon follow suit. Kairin was beginning to feel an extreme drop in his muscle functionality, at least as far as it normally functioned. It wasn't that he was extremely tired or ready to quit, he could just tell he was losing his "touch," and that sooner or later he would not be able to pack enough "punch" to be making a lot of walls. From the rate he was going with an approximated rate of his dropping strength with factored in breaks and dinner, today he figured he could make a total of four walls without going overboard, which would only be enough for a single roomed building. It wasn't much, but maybe it would just have to do? Kairin was generous enough to make an entire house for free, even if it was just an enclosed space. The thought was what counted.
