since dr hypnos had shown his dominance to the world and placed the tyrant changeling in power, frieza had not experienced much action compared to what he once did. the powerful army that consisted of legendary beings such as cooler, frieza and the ginyu force among others was a frightening idea itself - there seemed to be no opposition to this villainous force which ruled the land. however, even with the hypnotism in place, apart of frieza still wanted more; the short tyrant wanted more power; more infamy; more dominance. this was not enough...though the secret power of dr hypnos keeping frieza under check for now.
frieza watched over the city through fine glass while seated on his hover chair, piercing eyes scanning the area to see if everything was in place. there was not much else to do, however frieza knew that in time, there would be more opportunities for domination, whether it be over single beings or whole planets. south city was impressive, more than impressive for a single city one could say - though a tyrant could not be satisfied with a single city, no matter how great. it was almost like second nature to frieza to want more - it looked like his father created a son in his image...though frieza always seemed to be the most sadistic and power-hungry of the family.
"lord frieza!" a voice stated with the highest respect, the voice belonging to a blue alien who served frieza himself. "someone wishes to see you!" the alien told his master, awaiting the response of the cold changeling.
someone who wished to see him at this moment? what could it be? to declare how great they felt that frieza was? to say how much of an honor it was to be placed under his command? to bring news of something important? only time would tell.
"oh? send them in at once."
frieza bluntly commanded, still looking out into south city. "this had better be good." he mumbled to himself, slowly turning around on his chair to view the entrance, curious as to who would want to see him and what message they would bring.[/blockquote][/blockquote][/sub]

A figure holding a guitar case walked into the room, smoking on a cigarette as he stared at Frieza. The cigarette was more of a formality than anything else. As he stared at Frieza, he looked up and down. He then sighed. This is Frieza? Hm, well, a galactic tyrant should be quite the connection to have. Mal had the utmost manners. He had worked under the pickiest of men and still managed to survive. He gave a bow, staring at the ground for a few seconds before looking back up. "Lord Frieza," Mal said, staring up at the tyrant, "my name is Mal." Mal took a small card from his pocket and handed it to the man.
"I hear that you're quite the business man." Mal started chewing on the end of his cigarette, but not by a noticeable amount. He decided the cigarette was getting a bit tiresome, so he inhaled it into his mouth and chewed it up, swallowing the remains. All of this was done without showing the slightest bit of disgust. "Well, I'm one as well." Mal looked towards Frieza. He wasn't offered a seat, so he didn't take one. "My business isn't quite like yours, though. I'm a musician. A pianist and guitarist, though I prefer the piano. Of course, a piano isn't that easy to carry around." Mal let out a soft smile without breaking eye contact.
"Now then, if I may make a suggestion, I'd like to perfect my skills. The word on the street is you're the best at everything you do, so I'd imagine you'd have the best ear for music as well." Mal closed his eyes with a wide smile, "I'd like to provide my music services for you at absolutely no charge."

unaware of what to expect from this man who had just entered the room, frieza simply sat with a neutral stare. he seemed to look human, however all that implied to frieza was that the man was most likely like many of the other humans he had come into contact with: weak. if anything, frieza did not care for humans or their matters, which already gave the cold changeling low expectations for what was to come. however, the man had brought a guitar with him it seemed - though the tyrant was in no mood to listen to music.
taking the business card from the man, frieza grunted as he kept it in his hand. at least this individual knew how to greet the superior lord frieza, the changeling already had punished several fools for simply referring to him as 'frieza' alone - not to mention that one soldier frieza had killed...'freezy' was just not acceptable at all.
frieza looked in surprise for a moment though, watching the man bite down a full cigarette like it was some sort of edible food - frieza was not the most familiar with these cigarette things, but he was sure that they did not go down one's throat.
"music? is this some kind of joke?"
frieza asked with a hardly amused expression, "i do not require such a useless service." the changeling prince told the man truthfully, being brutally honest with him. raising his hand towards his scouter with a slight smirk, frieza began to activate it to check this human's power level. "weak humans like you hardly have any place in my army--" frieza's words were cut short by a sudden shock, surprise smacked upon his face, "a power level of nearly eighteen-thousand?! how this can be, surely a pitiful race such as humans do not usually reach this..." frieza exclaimed, his hand descending away from the scouter. ofcourse, it was no where near to frieza's own level, though still...it was definitely not expected from some cigarette-eating, human-looking...musician![/blockquote][/blockquote][/sub]

Mal gave a soft smile, "Well, I guess I'm strong on the field as well. Not as strong as you of course. I prefer playing music to fighting." Mal remembered the human comment and decided he'd respond to it. "Oh, I'm not a human." He knocked on his head, a metallic cling could be heard. "I'm an android, but don't worry, its a very common misconception. We do look exactly alike." Mal thought for a few seconds at how he could show his power. He decided the best way would be to just explain what he can do.
"I'm known as a perpetual energy model. My energy never runs out, no matter what I do or who I fight. It gives me a bit of an edge in fighting." Mal was happy that this was going exactly as he wanted it to. Should Frieza recruit him, he'd be able to train with the tyrant himself. Mal loved having connections with people in high places. "I also have a built in scouter and can copy almost any energy attack I see." Mal's smile became a bit wider. He didn't really feel any fear from Frieza. Of course, he really never felt fear, he wasn't programmed with it. "So...I guess that's why my power level is around 18 thousand."

a being of such strength...to prefer music to the heat of battle? it was something frieza had never heard of in all his years of conquering planets around the galaxy! it seemed like a crazy thought to the changeling, that one would prefer sounds and melody over a fast-paced fight to see who would prove their dominance. although, this was from the mindset of a powerful tyrant who did nothing but fight, command and conquer - his views were certainly going to be different, to say the least.
however, it was revealed that this individual was not actually a human, instead...."android?"
frieza questioned with some curiosity as he heard the metallic noise bounce from the man in front of him. frieza had not come across many robotic foes in his time, mainly destroying organic enemies that dared to get in his way, however the tyrant naturally assumed it would not be much different from blowing an organic foe to pieces - instead it would be scrap metal surrounding him. but frieza already had a plan for this one; seeming as this android was of useful power and sounded like a worthy minion to possess due to it's 'advantages', frieza could use more deadly warriors under his command like this one; zarbon, dodoria and the ginyu force were loyal servants, however expanding upon his list of deadly soldiers was something frieza liked the sound of. "well now, mal, was it?"" frieza started, a mischievous smirk placed on his face, "how would you like to serve me, the all-powerful emperor, frieza!" he asked, a tone which made it sound more like a command than a question, frieza not planning to take no for an answer from this surprisingly strong musician.[/blockquote][/blockquote][/sub]

Mal smiled and nodded, "Of course, lord Frieza." Mal opened up his guitar case. What lied inside wasn't a guitar; instead, it was a capsule. Mal turned around and began to walk out, the lone capsule staying inside of the case. "Oh, Lord Frieza," Mal turned, "if it would be alright with you, I would like to train with you personally. I feel that it would be the only way I could gain a high power level. I scouted your men and, although impressive, the powerlevels I did see didn't provide much of a challenge.
"See, I need someone powerful to spar with, because as an infinite energy model I normally outlast my opponents. I figured you'd be the best person to spar with, since you're the strongest person in the universe." Mal turned towards the capsule. "The capsule is a surprise, compliments of me, in case you really want to have some fun on this planet." Mal gave a small laugh as he turned back and continued walking out.
Inside of the capsule was a list of the contacts Mal had made. They were some of the most powerful men in the world, and some of the greediest. Should Frieza want his presence and power to be known, they would make a good first target.

pleased with the respect that was being shown to him, frieza was getting the feeling that he would count this newly added minion among his best. although the android had some arrogance on him - this robotic individual was strong indeed, however perhaps he did not scout the likes of zarbon or ginyu in regards to his claim. though, frieza would be not be surprised if this android overtook them at some point; the android seemed like a formidable foe for the level he was at.
looking at the capsule, frieza was wondering what would be inside of it - his minions did not usually offer their master such things, however this made it all the more interesting.
planning to look at it later, frieza gave an amused grunt at the android's words, crossing his arms. "spar with me? perhaps,"
frieza smirked, "maybe once you prove yourself some more, i'm sure there will be some things that need taking care of in due time - impress me with efficiency and i'll see to it that your request is granted." the changeling stated, his red eyes following mal's movement. he was sure that mal would soon have tasks to fulfill; whether it be by slaying enemies of frieza who were no match for the master himself, or simply to assist zarbon or dodoria in whatever matters frieza would task them with. frieza's army was getting more and more powerful each day - a frightening thought for his opposition...[/blockquote][/blockquote][/sub]

As Mal walked out of the Tyrant's room, he imagined what his life would consist of now. He had become a dog, that much was assured, though for some reason he figured he'd be given a bit of free will because of his powers. He hadn't begun working yet, he had only joined. Odds are he'd have to go through some initiation to show his power, though Frieza had already seen it. He looked down at the ground. He didn't have a conscience, but he still felt like he was doing wrong. Logically, he wasn't. He had joined a stronger force in order to do what he felt would be great.
The list he had given Frieza was a special list. It was composed of the greediest men in the world. Them dieing would most likely end up doing better for the world than worse. Still, the money they had was pumping into the economy, and it would be quite the blow if they had died. Mal wanted anarchy, and that was what he planned on bringing.
