It had been a late night, and Kairin was not keeping track of the time he spent doing the errands he had to get done as soon as was physically possible. Above everything else food was a necessity, and it seemed like Kairin couldn't take two steps without letting out some sort of inner noise until he could finally soothe the pains. Not having a home to go to after finishing up the jobs that were to be performed, Kairin would have spent a while looking for a good place to rest until the sun took its position above the world. Going to a well-known park, maybe he would be able to take a spot in one of the trees where there was no one to spot him, and think he was some homeless man who was trying to plot the right time to break into the house to steal of of their possessions.
All the same trees were not particularly comfortable when laying against them from a top perspective, they were best when a comfortable bark was met at a perpendicular angle to the ground; placing your butt on the ground and leaning against them. Spotting a park bench which would just have to do, the teenager would make way over to it, and lay down with his head being cradled by his arms. His legs were a bit long, so they would hang off and bend to make contact with the ground. Unfortunately he would be sleeping in, and while the people looking at him did not bother him so much, no one was to say what anyone might be doing.

[/b]" Her lips turned up into a bright smile, as the spray can was set aside. It was another job well done. The blonde girl turned to place her knees under her as she admired her work on the park's sidewalk. The painting wasn't nearly as good as the one she did at the mall, but Saeko was sure that this picture would brighten up at least the small children's day if not the adults. Work work work and more work. That's what the life of a West City civilian was forced to participate in. It was a shame that people seemed to be busier here than Satan City. Always on the go.. most didn't even know who the great Hercule was! It sadden her, but when the day came that the great middle age man came to West City's rescue, the blondie was sure everyone would soon know his greatness. Widening her smile at the thought, her fingernails traced the edge of the mural. This particular mark on the sidewalk was quite simple. The word hope had been drawn out with people talking the place of the letters while being surrounded by multiple heart outlines. Now it was time for people to come pass, look at it, then smile and have a better day. Waiting... Staying at her position, she waited blinking as the people passed by not saying a word. Did they not like it? Did she.. not do a good job? Dark blue orbs narrowed into confusion while people just passed by not saying a word.. not even paying her attention actually. " Huh.." Saeko huffed lightly to herself, then shrugged it off. Oh well. She had tried, and that was the best thing right? In a few minutes, her painting supplies were placed neatly in her book bag and she was up brushing off the dirt from her dress. Her hope mission was a failure, but it didn't mean she was going to give up. It just meant that she had to try harder next time.. that's all. Watching people just walk by her picture without saying a word did.. slightly make her smile go down, but she was determined to keep up her happy smile and try again. The blonde took one last look of her picture, then turned away and started to walk out the park, but paused seeing a male figure on a park bench not too far away. He seemed a bit uncomfortable to her? His body was too long for the bench so to her it was pretty awkward seeing his feet touch the ground. Was he comfortable like that? Her curiosity made her walk closer to him and pause it front of him. " Hmm.." Tilting her head a bit to the side, she studied the figure with her index finger upon her chin. A slow small spread across her face and Saeko reached into her book bag. Pulling out a jacket, she placed the clothing over the boy's frame to keep him warm. The night always were chilly and she didn't want him to catch a cold or maybe something worse. Though she didn't have anything to be his pillow sadly, the girl hoped the jacket would be enough for the boy.[/justify] [/ul]

The weather of the night before had actually not been nearly as bad as it could have, and it's not like Kairin had much time to be admiring it. The errands which he had been running were much too important to be worrying about something as minor as whether or not he was going to be getting hypothermia, specifically since the constant movement he was in would help to build up friction. Had he the normal mindset of a human then maybe catching a cold would be a problem, but really temperature had nothing to do with the common cold, due to the fact that it was actually a viral disease. Being outside in cold weathers did have a small effect on the immune system, being why when you get a pretty bad disease a fever accompanying it is all nice and toasty, but the fact that it was called a cold should not be enough to simply link it with that type of weather. Since Kairin was not a doctor or an educator, he really didn't care enough to be lecturing the facts to others, but it was just something that would boil off from underneath, and probably just go off into the wind never to be seen again.
It was odd for Kairin not to get up right when the first rays of the sun were beating across the earth, but it would seem in his sleepiness he had not noticed that where the park bench was, the direction the sun would be coming up in the east would be blocked by a nice thick tree trunk. Upon waking up later he would probably regret not having gone to bed in that very tree, but there was no point in beating around the bush for such a rather minor thing. His face would be facing the sky to make the posture he had taken up the most comfortable it was going to be, with his knees bending to make a pretty solid contact with the ground. It was a little uncomfortable from an unconscious level since he really had no room to adjust himself or anything without having to either wake himself or risk falling down, though luckily he had trained his body to just suck it up. There were a few perks to living out in the "wild" for a couple of years, but being a homeless teenager in a city who simply didn't have the money to pay for a home wasn't truly living in the wild, just getting his food and such from it.
There would be a slight change in which the air was keeping contact with his skin, triggering the boy to wake up from his slumber. Now being fully aware of his surroundings, he would be able to pick up the puny power level of the girl whom happened to be the one to put the jacket on him. Since there was no immediate threat, the reaction to waking up would not be a big one. In the least he would do what he could not to make a stir at first, so as not to give the demeanor that he had been abruptly been awakened from the change in context. After about five seconds he would slightly twist his body to the left towards the backbone of the bench, before his right hand would come from behind his head to rub his eyes. Now clearly giving the fact that he was awake, Kairin would twist his head to face the girl, who he expected to be looking at him. "Are you the one who so kindly placed this jacket on me to keep the cold away?" Although the girl might see this as a true question, Kairin already knew the answer when he was asking it. Regardless of if he got an answer or not, because the girl might happen to be really shy or what not, he would just smile and say, "Thank you, miss. However, now that I'm up, I best be going. My name is Kairin, by the way," as he sat up on the end of the bench while removing the jacket from his chest. He would collect the jacket in his hands, before handing it back to the girl. Hopefully she would not see her action as useless, because there was already enough negativity with the current rulers of the planet.

Chiaotzu was walking around West City, his intent merely on just being outside. He could have scanned for Tien's Ki and flew right to him, but he felt that, for some reason, he needed to be here. He couldn't quite put his finger on it. Where is Tien, anyway? I heard something about another Budokai, but who really wants that? We win a lot, and with the current oppression..... Chiaotzu's thoughts trailed off as he felt something in someone. He glanced over at the tall man talking to the young girl. Well, everyone was tall to Chiaotzu, to be fair, but the man DID seem a bit out of place. The girl was easy to sense, she was relatively normal in strength. But this man.........INTRIGUED Chiaotzu.
He walked up to him, resolved to ask about it. He stood only 3 feet, six inches tall, so he had to look up at the man. "Excuse me sir. you are a fighter, yes? Perhaps you are interested in saving the planet?" Chiaotzu's voice was not as squeaky as it once was, it had a more gravely quality to it that wasn't there sixteen years ago, but it was still very high-pitched, almost child-like.

As Kairin was merely making small talk before trying to depart from the park, it would seem as if another person would be coming up to him. This person seemed younger and smaller than him, just as the girl was, but he.... it was a he, right? The person was miniature, almost as if he or she shouldn't be old enough to walk and talk yet, although Kairin could easily just be exaggerating this a bit much. Moving his attention away from the girl, the jacket she had placed on him still within his possession for the time being, and focus on the small being. The power level was quite fierce, many times greater than Kairin's own, and it just seemed so wrong. How could such a small being have such a large power level? Of course Kairin was not aware of the age and such of the male in front of him, though maybe in the future he would learn enough to get a better understanding of exactly what was going on. After all he was but a teenager, and Chiaotzu had been through more than enough by the time Kairin was born.
If anything about this meeting made Kairin's hairs stand up, it would be the question the male asked after Kairin had gotten over the fact that his power level was almost puny in comparison. Not being one to be suspicious of the likes it would have been normal for Kairin to just answer honestly, but could he really trust this person? Looks can be deceiving, and for some reason Kairin just couldn't trust who he was talking to, like it was some sort of trap for him to speak the truth. Besides everything else it wasn't exactly the smartest thing in the world to ask or answer to, so the randomness of it all was quite.... odd. "Who wants to know the answer to that?" It was a simple question to get the name of the person, maybe a little bit of background information on the questioner while he was at it. Something seemed wrong, and it was making Kairin second guess himself.
