What sleep does to the human body is truly amazing, to say the least. Vanto had awoken from a well-deserved rest, three days after losing his match to Frosvite in the World Tournament. He expected himself to be angry: drowning in his own depression that would've resulted from the lost. Right now, the teen was sitting in his yard, taking his place one of the two marble benches stationed on his lawn. It was a nice day, the afternoon sun high in the sky and blessing the earth with its powerful sun rays. The sky was the perfect shade of blue; cloudless and blank, almost like a clean slate. With all the neighborhood kids at play, it was pretty hard to believe that this world was under the rule of an oppressive alien tyrant.
"Ahh~!" Vanto let out a satisfied sigh, stretching his arms into the air, his bare chest taking in the sun rays to it's full extent. Sitting outside shirtless, dragon-patterned blue pajamas and equally blue slippers was a habit of his: the teen only doing it just after having an awesome nap. Feeling fully rejuvenated, having only a bandage tied securely around his forehead, moving across his forehead and rounding around the back of his head, more layered there than anywhere else. After all, that's where he sustained that head injury during the battle with Frosvite and since his mother was a doctor and "knew everything about health and the human body", he had to keep this bandage on for a while. His cheek was stinging a little from the match with Jean but that nothing: if the teen couldn't shrug off a bruise then how could he save the earth from that ugly tyrant Frieza.
A small smile stretched across his face, the happiness truly getting to him now. The teen had another reason to be happy: he had finally got his father's approval, something he's been trying to attain for years. After going against stronger opponents in the tournament, Mr. Lux had seen that his son's training wasn't a waste. That was amazing and the young man wasn't expect his father to act in such an accepting manner, the older man even going as far as hugging (in the manliest way possible, of course) Vanto after his match. With his father's slight approval and acceptance and two great matches under his belt, the teen was feeling great! Nothing could dampen his spirits, nothing could bring him down. Not even Bulla!
Oh...Bulla. His black orbs were clouded and hazy, the thoughts of the blue haired girl rushing to his mind: the memory of their intimate moment replaying in his head. He gave her his first kiss; something he had been holding in for that special someone. It wasn't like the teen was giving her his mother's amulet, which rested heavily against the teen's barely chest, the cold metal chilling his skin, or was it his favorite sword (something he had left buried in some guy's chest somewhere in one of South City's many slave camps) but it was something...special to him. A deep breath graced his lungs and Vanto allowed himself to push away those negative thoughts. She was in the past now and surprisingly, in the four days since their last meeting, the once love-struck teen was moving on rather quickly. No possible way was he letting the memories of the blue haired genius ruin his perfect mood, even if they already have.
"Hey Vanto! Snap outta it, cutie!" an annoying voice and Vanto did just what it demanded, an low groan coming from him. He focused on the source of the voice, and just behind the white picket voice that outlined the perimeter of the Lux House hold was a red headed girl in the West City school uniform, arms folded behind her back and a bright, brace-framed smile.
"Oh," he said, his voice strained as if that word alone was forced out. "Penolope...what's up?"
The red headed girl, her green eyes wide threw her arms into the air excitedly. "How come you didn't take that Advanced Placement test!?" she exclaimed, his arms moving to her hips.
"Because, like hell I'm going to school on a saturday to take a test."
Penolope seemed disappointed. Huffing loud, she stomped off down the street. Vanto arched an eyebrow in confusion: did he once again shoot down her attempt at conversation with him? She was one of the girls that liked him, right? His eyes narrowed: why did he have no interest in the girls that had crushed on him? Sighing, he scratched his head and sighed. Not like it mattered to him anyway. Well it did.
Eh, whatever.

[/b]" Her eyes shined hopefully at the red headed girl a few paces ahead of her. Her outfit was interesting in choice.. a school outfit maybe? It was just another thing she had to do. School wasn't a pain for her like most of the teens around her age, but being confined into one building for half the day wasn't exactly her cup of tea. The pretty red head in front of her turned to give the blonde a good look over glance then proceeded to keep walking with her nose held up high. The sudden rude no answer was like a slap in the face that stung like hell. It made her pause almost tripping over her bare feet at how quick the mean side of West City had found her. " ..I'll take that as a no then?" Her nose wrinkled as she raised up one arm in an attempt to call the girl back to her, but she slowly slowed dropped it back to her side in defeat. Wait.. defeat? No way! The girl ignoring her was just the type of thing she should draw first in her notepad. The bad things being drawn first then the good things was just.. perfect. So.. no she wasn't going to give up. Saeko nodded determinedly to herself and opened up a new page, then pencil in hand began to sketch the girl as she followed. Wherever the girl was going, she was moving pretty fast. It was actually kind of hard to keep up with her and draw at the same time. The girl wanted to tell her to slow down that she could hardly keep up, but then it'll give up her cover and... well... the blonde artist didn't want that. Maybe the girl knew that she was struggling because next time she looked up to finish the outline of her body, the girl had stopped at a white picket fence. With her arms behind her back and her attention on another voice, her pencil began moving rapidly on the sheet of paper. Body, hair, outfit.. it strived to get every great detail before the young lady took off again. The girl moving her arms was a small problem, but it wasn't a problem. In fact.. she was almost done all she had left to do was no-.... A huff and a dramatic exit, Saeko was left blinking as the girl left. " .. wait! Wait no!" Once again calling out to the girl, she just sighed in frustration as the girl continued on her way. Now what? All she had was an almost finished picture and now a missing model. But.. maybe just maybe she could catch up and find her. Yeah! Smiling, she began gathering her materials in her bag, while she slowly followed after the girl, but paused to take a peek at the house behind the fence. The house was beautiful, but there was a much more interesting piece of art that was catching her attention. A boy that looked her age just probably relaxing in his yard. His choice of outfit.. was adorable, even if the sun was shining brightly demonstrating it was long past to be in pajamas, he didn't seem to care. Saeko walked up to where the red head previously stood and smiled, waving at the boy. " Hi! So sorry to bother you, but I think you look really cool and promising. A good thing that can go into my notepad.." He might thought she was insane, but when it came to her arts? Pfft.. she was. She held up her notepad then pencil in the other hand, clearing her throat she asked " .. so can I draw you? I hope you don't mind. I asked the young lady that was here before, but she never gave me an answer.." Pausing, Saeko sighed and then let out a light chuckle " I was actually doing it anyway, but now she's gone so I need a new model. Care to fill in?".[/justify][/ul]

The teen failed to notice the blond that was following Penolope until she came to his fence. Where ever his mind was, it came back. Deep onyx orbs met those aquamarine ones of the artists, the blond artist completely captivating Vanto from the moment she appeared, the teen silently thanking god for dropping an angel down right in front of his house. "Whoa..." he whispered, adjusting the bandage around his head and then pressing his hands against his pajama pants, in an unneeded endeavor to smooth the nonexistent wrinkle. Flashing her his white, toothy grin, Vanto leaned forward, resting his elbows on his knees, allowing his arms to dangle in between his legs. "Do I wanna be your model? Isn't that a little weird?" he said, using that same sweet tone he's used on the girls he's liked (which haven't been many) but it still worked.
Damn, did he feel confident. You'd think after a "break-up", Vanto would be miserable and not want to be within a ten foot distance of any female besides his mother. However, with his father's approval, something he's been trying to attain for a while and has made him extremely happy, even if it was a little respect on the man's part. Vanto felt as if he could take on the world, take on Frieza even. Standing up from the bench, his smile not fading one bit, Vanto folded his arms behind his head. "...But wait." he said rather casually, still using that sweet talker tone of his. "...Shouldn't we introduce ourselves first?" he asked, tilting his head to the side in mock confusion. That look of confusion quickly dissipated, dissolving into the bright face he had one before.
His eyes fell to the ground, as if his attention was suddenly on the neatly cut lawn. For some odd reason, Vanto began to question where he got his sweet taking from? Was it from constantly watching those shows with his mother? Or maybe it was from his father. Though the two weren't on the best terms previously, Vanto always knew his father had a way with words, especially with his mom. The man was so deadpan and dry but when it come to woman or business deals, he was a natural: able to negotiate with the best. "...So weird...." he mused in the quietest voice he could muster.
Focusing on the mysterious blond artist, Vanto advanced to the picket fence and leaned up against it, as close to the girl he could be without it being awkwardly. 'Anyway, My name's Vanto, what's yours?"

[/b]" Her rambling just trailed off, as she came to a stop. Now that she said it out loud, it did seem sort of weird. He didn't know her and here she was asking for permission to draw him. The way his voice was twisted into something sweet and capturing, it could also have been taken for mocking and teasing. Saeko sighed then shrugged her shoulders. Maybe West City was all bad and no good? " So sorry to have wasted your time" Smiling politely, she turned around to leave, but stopped once he spoke again. The young male was now up from the bench and from that, she got a good clear of him actually in his pjs. He really was adorable and cute. Laughing lightly at her mistake about the male, she nodded in approval that he was a good choice to draw after all. He was indeed right. Maybe if she had introduced herself to the girl, then the red head wouldn't have been so rude and would have accepted her offer to be her drawing model. " I think you are indeed right.." A good artist should always introduce themselves to their model. It was common courtesy. Nodding to herself, she made a mental note of that and watched him intently as he came to the fence and introduced himself. " Vanto? Did you know your name means pride and virtue?" Leaning in a bit more, she stuck her head out over the fence and grabbed his hand in a friendly shake. " I'm Saeko, it means serene.." She leaned off the fence and turned her back to him as she smiled. Reaching into her back pack and pulling out some colored pencils, she continued talking to him " But that doesn't answer my question, so I'm going to assume its a yes and start to draw you anyway.". His arms crossed over his bare chest, his abdomen pressing against the fence as he leaned out, wide eyed and intrigued. So he wasn't the first person she asked to be her model? Well, if turned out, regardless of his answer, she would've drew him the same which made him smile a bit. As the blond turned her back to walk away, Vanto raised his hand out in protest. "No." he said calmly, almost in a blase and uninterested manner. The feeling of slight guilt washed over him and after clearing his throat, the young male began to speak once more but was cut off before a word could leave his mouth.
So she knew what his name meant? That was...cool? His name meant prideand virtue and his last name meant light in whatever language it was. Her name meant serene. Their names weren't of the same language, he knew that much. Vanto along with his father had the same type of name: Sancto and Vanto, both meaning virtue and pride. Now that he thought about, Saeko and Mrs. Lux had the same type of name. Blah, Vanto was over thinking now.Stepped back as she withdrew her tools, Vanto took two steps back and just stood there awkwardly. "So..what do you want me to do? Pose...? I dunno..."
