"Ah, there has been no trouble as of yet. Let's hope it can remain that way" a long figure muttered lowly to himself, sitting atop a building that overlooked the city. From here one could get a great view of the entire city, a huge city that existed under the control of a great and terrible emperor - Lord Frieza. Under his rule, this city remained peaceful, but it was a fake peace. People remained in line out of fear rather than friendliness and worked hard out of fear rather than duty. Few enjoyed living in this city. The lone figure upon the building top had to admit that he was just status quo. He too did not enjoy being under the rule of Frieza, nor the Red Ribbon Army that served him. Yet he still wore the emblem on his clothing and still bore his blade. One could say he had abandoned his pride as a swordsman.
"Mifune, sir. There appears to be nothing that warrants your attention, so you have been given leave to go on a lunch break" a soldier spoke, having arrived up the steps behind him. Turning to look over his shoulder, the one named "Mifune" - a tall, humanoid rabbit with dark hair, his long ears lying lazily over his shoulders gave a short nod. Slowly standing back upright, using his sword to push himself up as if he hadn't the energy himself, he looked down over the edge. Then, he turned around and headed down the staircase, past the soldier. He didn't pay much attention as the soldier saluted him. Instead, he continued on, pressing down the staircase until finally he reached the bottom after a few minutes, heading out to leave the building via the front door. Out in the open air again, he looked around.
"..." he said nothing as he looked down the street, taking the street down to a small vendor serving bowls of ramen. The vendor looked at him with both anger and incomprehensible fear as he prepared a bowl of ramen for him, taking Mifune's money when it was offered to him. Retreating to the opposite end of the stand, as if to keep his distance from the swordsman, the vendor did not speak to him any further. Mifune simply began to eat, undisturbed by the vendor and wishing not to bother him further. It was about halfway through his bowl that he paused, noticing footsteps down the street. His sensitive hearing allowed him to pick up on someone's presence. Turning his head slightly, he caught someone out of the corner of his eye, apparently heading for the stall as well.
