Quietly, she walked amongst the ruins of the once bustling city, mahogany hues holding a considerable amount of saddened nostalgia. Truly, everything had changed once they made residence on their home planet, wiping out Earth’s denizens as if they were nothing but mere insects. They were placed at their mercy and now, Earth was practically bowing before their whim.
And she absolutely detested it.
It was the main reason why she had taken up the art of battle, the reason why she fastened those sturdy brown work gloves about her hands and then clenched them into tight fists. She was done bowing down, she was done having her life manipulated by some otherworldly being. They’d say she was foolish, stupid even for trying to go up against such an immeasurable power. She was nothing but a mere human, blinded by her naïve perception that she can someday surpass her body’s limitations and transcend in mind, body and spirit. But even after all that, she’d only glance at them and pass them a bright smile.
“So you say. You’ll see soon enough.” But as of now, she was slowly immersing herself within the remnants of her most recent past and with a slow sigh, the dark-skinned femme continued to gaze about, olive-green overalls accumulating slight amounts of dirt. It was blatantly obvious that she was currently weak right now, fragile even. But that’d soon change, she just had to go about relentless training and develop her skills . . . and fast.

Earth had truly altered over the course of years, it was no longer a beautiful planet — no, not at all, in fact it was a barren wasteland. Proving the stories which were once told to the Forerunners to be false and the one to witness the false stories, would be no other than Aō. A simple, yet elegant life form that had decided to live on Earth for the time being, due to his home planet dying out and eventually becoming a few paragraphs in the history books. Home, a word that he wish could become reality, but sadly life wasn't going to allow such to happen —
Well not anytime soon. For now his home would be Planet Earth, within the district of East City, where he would be spotted walking across the chunks of rocks that use to be a building. ‟It must be quite sad to be a Human, having to deal with dangerous situations and have no ability to fend for oneself.” He stated to himself as optics scanned the area, soon stopping to what-seemed to be a human being. His countenance quickly went from a blank stare to a rather puzzle look; most humans — especially females, were busy hiding in shelters from the mass threat across the planet.
But not this human, this one decided to stay out and handle it like a solider - something that Aō respected in a person. Being quite intrigued with the species, the wolfman would graceful walk in the direction of the female - his hands in his pockets, whilst blonde hair swayed to and fro due to the breeze by the wind. The sky was gray and sunlight had a hard time fitting threw the gaps of the dark clouds, but magically the same time Aō stopped - allowing a distance between the female and himself (5 meters), a beam of sunlight rained down upon him. It was as if the Gods above had bestowed him with power, whilst he stood under the ray of light.
He was at the rear of the female, and a simple tap of the sole of his shoes meeting the rumble would catch her attention. If she turned around, she would be greeted by a graceful man, who's skin illuminated in the beam of light, and optics were shield by squinting. But she would also be greeted by a cold, metallic voice; resembling that of his countenance, ‟Why hello there, I was pondering on this little theory of mine. Are you a Human? For if you were, I would truly be surprised for many run in fear due to other beings." His words were cold and were meant to harm.

A masculine voice captured the lass’s attention but even so, she had already sensed someone’s presence and she had to say, this individual was noticeably more powerful than she was. Perhaps that’s why his words held such a foreboding nature but even so, the femme spun on her heels, deep brown eyes alit with interest.
“I am human. But I gotta ask, what kind of . . . beings are you talking about?”
Of course, Jade was very much aware of the variety of races that populated Earth though she wasn’t too educated on the multitude of other species that populated the distant corners of the universe. She took a moment to examine the taller male, taking notice to his light complexion and equally light hair as well as his stunning animalistic eyes along with the sharp predatory teeth that lined his maw. He was quite the interesting looking specimen and honestly, Jade hadn’t caught sight of someone that possessed the blonde’s features. Despite his intimidating nature and somewhat apathetic and stony demeanor, the dark-skinned lass couldn’t help but be intrigued. “Mm. Are you one of the other . . . beings?”
