South City was probably the most dangerous of places to try and be a thief, but Quinti was looking for information about the army so he had no other choice but to take the risk. It also helped that the people in this city had some pretty neat stuff that would sell pretty nicely in Satan city, but it would be even better if he could get some things that belonged to Frieza’s goons which would be even riskier than stealing from a normal person. It made his mouth water at the thought of ripping something off of one of those idiots.
“Time to find a person that doesn’t really need his or her wallet,” Quinti muttered as he walked through the crowd of South City people. Most of these people were good people, but there definitely a few crooked ones in the area. A good example would be the cops that could stomach working under such a prick. Now all he had to do was find one that wasn't paying attention to his or her person, so slipping out a wallet wouldn’t be too difficult for someone of his talents. Of course, he needed to be quick as he would be pretty distinguishable among the citizens of South City.
Then he spotted a guy that looked a little shifty in his mind, so Quinti made his approach to slip something out of the guy’s pocket. It would be easy because a person would just assume that it was completely an accident instead of an intentional collision so he could lift something out of their pockets, which is exactly what he did to the guy he had spotted. Within moments, the young lion-boy was standing behind a dumpster in an alley with the man’s wallet, which turned out to be very disappointing with its contents. “Only a few zenie in his wallet. Here I was hoping that I could get a decent room at a hotel, but I guess that would have been too easy.”
It seemed that Quinti was going to have to pick a more high class sleazeball in order to get a decent profit for that day.

The swordsman had been wandering the city for a while now. With little to do other than patrol, he was essentially free to do as he pleased so long as he handled any incidents that came his way. This was generally a relief for him, if only because there were only a handful of people willing to mess with someone wielding a sword, much less himself. Still, it was work that had to be done by someone. Why not put it all on the shoulders of a Red Ribbon Soldier? Strolling along the pathways, he watched the people as they walked about on their own business. He was the only furry around, come to think of it. A tall, lanky rabbit man with messy brown hair and long ears flopped down his head who appeared unkempt and untidy. He stood out like a sore thumb.
But as he walked down the path, he came to notice something - a young child, another furry much like himself who seemed to be wandering about. Anyone else may have paid it no mind - sure, he was on his own, but in today's world orphans running about in the streets was not unheard of. However, he kept his eyes on him still, watching as he ended up "accidentally" bumping into someone before moving on, rushing behind a dumpster in an alleyway. He was clever enough to fool the man, but the swordsman had a keener eye. He managed to just notice the subtle movement of taking something out of the passerby's wallet. It seemed it was time for him to move over.
Walking across the road, he approached the dumpster as the kid inspected the wallet's contents, apparently disappointed with his success. To catch the young boy's attention the rabbit furry rapped the dumpster as he looked down at him.
"I can't say I approve of pickpocketing" he stated flatly, making it clear to the kid that he'd noticed as he wandered nearer. The sword remained untouched, but it hung in his sash and it was noticeable. It wasn't unlikely the kid would feel a little worried about it. "However, I do not wish to harm you. Would you be willing to hand the wallet back? If you are short on money, I would be willing to offer you some assistance" he told him, giving a small smile. This kid reminded him of someone else, from a while back. A child from an orphanage he'd once promised to protect. He wanted to help this child in whatever way he could - it had to be tough, growing up on your own under the rule of Lord Frieza.

From his point of view, Quinti had gotten away with his little act of slipping something off the man’s person, but his point of view wasn’t as good as that of other people. If only things were always how he saw them, then maybe the cat-boy would get somewhere in life, but unfortunately there were cosmic powers at play that were preventing him from getting to the point that he needed to be in order to be financially stable enough to inflict massive damage to the army. Of course, it was not time for him to dwell on what ifs as there were more important matters to deal with like the spy.
So the guy didn’t approve of pickpocketing? Well that was too bad in Quinti’s opinion as there was no other way for him to get money for things like food unless he just stole the food, which was a viable option in his mind. “You don’t have to approve of it. You just have to ignore the fact that you witnessed it like, so go be oblivious of what happened like everyone else.” Why couldn’t the guy had seen the little girl who had somehow managed to slip a woman’s bracelet off her hand from a simple brush-by? Because I have to be met with a challenge with each step I take.
Then the guy said something about not wanting to harm him, and two things happened simultaneously. One, Quinti’s eyes went to the sword at the guy’s side, and two, his hand reached for one of his daggers just in case the guy tried to pull a fast one. “How about this? I keep the wallet, and you let me off with a stern warning that may prevent me from doing such a crime in the future. Sound good to you,” inquired in response to the first half of the swordsman’s statement. It seemed like a completely swell idea to Quinti, but this guy seemed to be of the ‘do the right thing’ type.
The second half of the guy’s statement kind of sounded like a nice idea, but Quinti thought about what that would mean for his future. “It really is nice of you to offer, but I am afraid that it would be against my better instincts. I like to keep myself out of being indebted to others, but I have to ask one question. How did you spot me? Every other person missed my movement, so why didn’t you?” Quinti was truly interested in how this guy saw him, but there was another reason for his question that he was going to leave out of the conversation for personal reasons.
(OOC: Sorry for the wait. Its been sort of hectic this month.)
